Very traditional Japanese restaurant and food are good with excellent service , this is the real Japanese restaurant just like Japan, Toronto have many Japanese restaurants not run by Japanese, try it , it is different.

We, two of us, came here for a simple dinner, we were ended up with surprusely disappointed. The food was arriving with the small portions and it took almost 45 minutes for food arrival.We paid roughly $14.95 for appetizer sashimi, $27.95 for Chirashi Sushi, and worst food order in my life was $13.95 for Beef in curry sauce with rice (the serving size was way too small and only 2 tiny piece of beef!). We were all left deeply disappointed and hungry, i guess we couldn't really justify the real cost and time for average Japanese food.We will not be coming back again…so sorry we could not give a better rating!!

Like a neighborhood japanese restaurant. I think it runs by a Japanese lady and a chef. I wanted to try my lunch somewhere new, and this place seems to exist for long, but I've never been. So I decided to make a visit.We ordered Miyabi set for two, which came with salad, steamed egg(which I love), assorted sushi and sashimi, ice cream for dessert.Food serving is very slow. You need to be very patient. But yes, it's really fresh and feels like you are invited to a Japanese house for lunch. Our tea was refilled every 10 minutes. I would go again when I'm not in a rush or take out next time.

This is a steadily balanced Japanese restaurant. The setting reminded me of small restaurants in Japan, which is quite fit for the setting. The quality of the food is good, as it had solid quality for typical Japanese dishes (especially for dishes other than sushi or sashimi), though it is not particularly outstanding. I would recommend the Shyokado Bento.

On a Saturday afternoon with only two tables of customers, they managed to make us wait 45 minutes for two delux bento boxes. After 40 min of waiting I asked the waiter if the food was arriving and she said we have to prepare food for the other table first and then it’s your turn.Charging 38.99 for a box, the food was mediocre. The only good thing was the tempura.Will Never return

People should stop coming here for Bento box... It's not meant for it lol! This is a place for authentic Japanese sushi, with lovely pleasant staff. This establishment is for quality sushi not quantity. It may not be the cheapest but certainly the freshest sushi, toro, real crab meat sushi.

June 20, 2023I came here for a team lunch (9 of us) and we were all pretty disappointed with the small portions and high price. We paid roughly $14 for a bento lunch but the serving size was way too small! We had the choice to choose between rice or 3 pieces of california rolls in our bento. Most Japanese restaurants include sushi and rice. I ordered the Katsu Beto and it was literally 5-6 pieces of katsu, 3 pcs of cali rolls, salad, and a few slices of cold raffish. We were all left deeply disappointed and hungry. Not to mention we waited 1 hour for our food :(We will not be coming back again…so sorry!!
