I always make online orders through my app and it only happened to me once before to choose a wrong store location before and when I talked to the staff, they helped me in another branch. Here, when I approached them, they told me I should drive to the location I chose and they can't help. Honestly this is not a good customer service especially for loyal customers.

A Starbucks barista named Vinnie- working at 8656 Yonge St. Richmond Hill location, behaved in a rude, discriminatory, and highly unprofessional manner. Our drinks were ready but left sitting without our names being called, while he loudly and cheerfully called out other customers whose orders were placed after ours. When I tried to make eye contact, he smirked, looked away, and joked about it with a colleague.

When I finally asked if the drinks were ours, he confirmed they were. I calmly asked why our names weren’t called. He dismissively said he did and then ignored us. When I pointed out how rude and unprofessional this was, he laughed and mocked us.

The manager’s response was just as disappointing. While he apologized, he defended the barista by saying “this is just how he behaves” and dismissed the concern by claiming there was no racist intent. That is not an acceptable response when customers—especially Indians and people of colour—raise concerns about discriminatory treatment.

Starbucks claims to stand for respect and inclusion, but this location clearly takes complaints about racism very lightly. This behaviour should not be tolerated, and customers deserve to be treated with basic dignity.

Overall all environmentally but coatumer service is poor they need improvement, and beside that they do not have hand sanitizer, they have boxes but empty, maybe because of bankruptcy 🤣😁

I always go to Starbucks for my drinks and have my great time there, while baristas are friendly. Today I had my worst time at this location with one of the barista’s attitude. They forgot to put the syrup for me and I asked them friendly that it doesn’t have the syrup but they started telling me that I am lying.
And at the end after 5 minutes of argument they add the syrup rather than just add the syrup.

Ordered a matcha latte for delivery - gave me an espresso based latte. Zero matcha but somehow still had the right label. Guess they don’t know matchas green not brown like espresso?!!!

I just went the drive-thru and had an unpleasant interaction with the worker who answered at the speaker. She sounded visibly annoyed, which made the experience uncomfortable.

I’m not expecting overly friendly service—just a straightforward order-taking process. However, her tone and unnecessary comments were uncalled for and gave the impression that she didn’t want to be there.

I hope management can address this kind of attitude so that future visits go more smoothly.

I would like to share some feedback regarding my visit on August 23 at around 7:30 PM.

When I arrived, it took some time for staff to acknowledge me, which I completely understand as they were busy. However, after receiving my order, I asked the barista (who was also helping with the drive-through) for a couple of sleeves for my cup. Instead of handing them to me, the barista threw them toward me. Another customer nearby also noticed and mentioned that it wasn’t very nice.

I understand how busy things can get, but I feel the situation could have been handled with a bit more courtesy.

I’ve been coming to this Starbucks every day for over a year, always ordering the same drink – a Venti Hot Latte. It used to be fine, but recently the staff has completely changed. The new team is inexperienced and doesn’t seem to know what they’re doing. I ordered my usual latte and was asked unnecessary questions like “classic or not?” which I never had to deal with before. They gave me a sugary drink I didn’t want, and when I returned it, they refused to refund me. Extremely disappointing service. This location has gone downhill and clearly needs better management.
