Visited the tea house for the first time during the Apple festival. We needed a place to stop and rest and this was the perfect Little spot. Great set up. Love the decor. Instagram worthy. The owners and staff were super friendly. They went around and spoke to every table. It was really nice to see how well we were taken care of, like family. Great selection of teas. Nice big pot to share. They had a small menu for snacking. They also make their own dessert. Not store bought so that was a nice surprise. Would recommend anyone to stop by especially with the autumn weather coming. Great way to warm up.

We've been having afternoon\high teas around southwestern Ontario to compare them. We went back to Abigail's today and they are still the best. What a treat!

Had a lovely Tea with my dear friend ( sister from another mister) for a belated birthday celebration ( only a day separates us ) at Abigail's Tea House in St. George today. A quaint cosy setting where we were made to feel welcome the moment we entered the shop. All of the food was tasty and presented on the iconic 3 tier tray and we made it through the bottom layer ( which included the mandatory and delicious cucumber sandwiches) along with full sized tea pots of specialty teas for each of us. The top two levels were packed and brought home. High teas are never cheap but every bite on this tray was worth savouring. The owner/baker brought out our tray and explained each item. All baked goods are her creations and praise worthy. I am told my scones are very good, they pale in comparison to these. Highly recommend the cross country drive, no need to stress the 401 and ruin the day's experience.
Will definitely return for other special occasions. ( Be sure to make reservations)
Thanks to my daughter for finding this hidden gem for us.

We stopped by on our way from Toronto to Paris, and even without a reservation, we were seated at a wonderful table. They kindly prepared a vegetarian high tea for us, and the staff was incredibly polite. Everything was so fresh and delicious! I’d definitely love to come back again.

A Masterclass in Afternoon Elegance at Abigail's Tea House!
In the grand tapestry of global culinary traditions, few rituals are as cherished or as fiercely judged as High Tea. Having pursued its finest expressions across continents, my wife and I have developed a discerning, perhaps even unforgiving, palate for this particular art form. It was with this wealth of experience that we visited Abigail's Tea House, and where we found, quite unexpectedly, the new pinnacle of our quest.
From the moment we were greeted, it was clear this was to be no ordinary affair. Our host, Ivan, orchestrated the experience not merely as a server, but as a true connoisseur of hospitality. His attentiveness was a study in perfection—anticipatory without being intrusive, ensuring every element of our afternoon unfolded with a seamless and personal grace. He is, without a doubt, a master of his craft.
The presentation of the tiered stand was a visual delight, a carefully constructed prelude to the symphony of flavors that awaited. The journey began with the savoury course, a tier that so often falls to staid tradition. Here, it was a revelation. We were immediately captivated by a homemade cheese spread so profoundly flavourful and unique it could command a dish all its own. The procession of delicate finger sandwiches was a further testament to the kitchen's dedication to excellence; each was a meticulously crafted bite, boasting a freshness and a balance of ingredients that spoke of quality and passion.
And the tea, the very anchor of the experience? It was, in a word, perfect. Not just the quality of the leaves, but the precision of the steep and the ideal serving temperature, resulted in a brew that was both robust and nuanced, a flawless companion to the food.
As the afternoon drew to a gentle close, my wife offered the final, and perhaps most telling, verdict. A veteran of esteemed tea rooms from London to Tokyo, she turned to me and remarked that our experience at Abigail’s had not just met, but had unequivocally surpassed the legendary High Tea at The Plaza in New York City.
I can only concur. Abigail's Tea House is not simply serving sandwiches and tea; they are curating a world-class experience that honours tradition while elevating it to new heights. It is an absolute, must-visit destination for any serious aficionado. Outstanding.

Holy smokes! The BEST! And I mean THE BEST tea house ever! Laureen and Ivan are such wonderful hosts and the food is exceptional! Beautiful tea house decor even right down to the tea pot lamp in the immaculate bathroom! All the details and care and passion for a tea house are here! Its so much better than one’s in England!
Hats 🎩 off to the place and the couple who own this place. It was simply a magical and delicious experience with very fine tea indeed!

Always love going for tea and lunch. The quality and care that goes into their lunches is always next level. It has been our Mother’s Day tradition for several years now

I had an absolutely wonderful experience at Abigail's today! I was so impressed with everything. The decor was lovely (including the bathroom that smelled great!). The owners were so welcoming and I was surprised to learn that they do everything in house. I mean surprised because I have a gluten allergy and my daughter is vegetarian. The gluten free scones were absolutely amazing!!! I sincerely wondered if she had given me the wrong ones!😅

All the food was delicious and they serve real clotted cream and jam (i find clotted cream is something that is often skipped at tea houses). On top of that, I was impressed with the tea selection. Sometimes tea houses skimp and use bagged tea. I was delighted that it was loose leaf.

All in all, I was very impressed and had a fabulous experience! Highly recommend!
