Bains BBQ was recommended to us while we were in Sarnia briefly.
Strangely Google got us to the back of the restaurant, in the nextdoor parking lot
We had the brisket sandwich.
It was very good
Portions are on the smaller size, and maybe priced on the upper side.
We visited mid Saturday afternoon, and there were only two other tables occupied, so we were in at a low time.
Our waiter was quite a character, and made us quite welcome
If in Sarnia again, we might stop in again

Google helped us find Bains as we were passing through on a long drive. Terrific meal at a good price and attentive service. Couldn't ask more of a restaurant. Very satisfied.

Best tasting restaurant in Sarnia, imo, as long as you like meat. The burgers are fresh and taste delicious, and the warm potato salad is top notch. Prices are fair for today’s market. The only thing I would nitpick about is feeling rushed out of the place by the server, who seemed super-eager to give our table to someone else when it got busy. Overall, a top eatery in the city.

Great BBQ for a good price. Been there 3 times, and have never had bad food, or bad service. Waitress was quite friendly, and the price for what you get is excellent. Highly recommend Bains if you're thinking about it.

Best burger and chicken in town! But they also have nailed down the caesar salad, nachos, and baked beans. It's always the first place I take guests from out of town.

I give the food four stars only because we got the platter and some of the food, though delicious, was cool. The corn bread is great but very small and you only get two small muffins with the platter. Beans are great also. We will be back

I liked it I just feel like the ribs should be a little bit more tender. I didn't like the mac & cheese, but the potato salad was bomb.
Had an amazing time as usual!! Mike was our server and he was absolutely stellar!!!! Some of our group had meat platters and rest had ribs!!! And the sangria, if I wasn’t driving I would have had another!!!

We did not really know what to expect from a Canadian barbecue place, but it was very good! Great sausage and chicken quarters, maybe the pulled pork and brisket were a tad on the drier side, but the taste was still nice. Also, thumbs up on potato salad and corn muffins.
