Yes, there was a wait but it was soooo worth it! We will definitely make a special trip to eat here again. The service was amazing!

I'll start my saying our server Heather was absolutely wonderful but the food was terrible, the brisket was served on a wonderbread bun, it was incredibly chewy and filled with fat and the potatoe salad was just a chopped up baked potatoe with bacon bits. Definitely not worth the price.

Great meal and server was friendly and did not make us feel rushed when we came in a little late.

Nothing as advertised. I spent $20+ on the brisket sandwich which tasted like unseasoned shavings of roast beef lathered with barbecue sauce. The sides are even worse, Mac and cheese tastes like kraft dinner, rice tastes like uncle Ben’s 2 minute microwave rice, beans are just a really mid chili. The corn bread came like it was just out of a box, stone cold and rock hard. The best part of my meal was the water and the fact it satiated my hunger.

The food was plain and you can tell the sides are not home made. The “premium” mac and cheese tastes just like a packet of kraft dinner. The baked beans are plain store bought beans. The brisket is not as advertised. For the quality of food this place is extremely over priced and I would not recommend it to anyone. Do NOT come to this place.

I got a burger to go. Didn't look at the menu, just ordered a burger. Never been previously so didn't know what to expect. It took 20 minutes to make and recieve the burg (that was after ordering it) which seemed excessive, especially since there were only 3 other active tables that seemed to already have their meals. Cheese was $1.99 and I wasn't told it was extra when asked if I wanted cheese and bacon. Otherwise I would have said no. When asked about a side, I didnt want one but was told it comes with so I had to (since I'd be charged for it anyway). The total was $24 with tax and tip!! For a to-go burger and 20+ minute wait. The meat of the burger was really good and thick. Unfortunately it was cooked to over well done so it was chewy and dense. I chose this place bc reviews said the burger was juicy. But mine was a shriveled hockey puck. The bun is an uninspired Brioche type thin whisp you can pick up at a grocery store (not a fresh bakery made artisan bun). The bbq sauce and garlic aoli sauces were good. But the pickles, lettuce, tomato and onion were skimpy and not prepped with the care and attention a $24 burger should get. Literally the pickles were thin as paper and the two slivers of red onion were unevenly cut and the lettuce was one small leaf with a thick stem. I do want to say the quality of meat is really good. But the overall prep needs to step up for the price and wait time. The server was nice and I appreciated his hospitality.

Had take out this evening, server who took my order was very friendly and efficient (despite having a bad customer before me). Got my good within 30 minutes. It was hit, fresh and extremely tasty! (4 stars on atmosphere due to eating at home)

When costing you $36 for lunch for one person without a drink, the minimum you should expect is the food to be at least hot.

On my brisket plate I got cold and hard brisket, crunch coliflower and broccoli, and hard and dry roast barato. It was a very expensive and disappointing lunch.

I did shared this review in person to Liz, who presented to be the owner, but I felt I should share my experience here as well.

It was decent, but I was going in with pretty high expectations. The brisket wasn't quite what I was expecting, as it was pretty thin and dry, not tender at all. I definitely wouldnt get that again, but they had some other pretty good looking food options I'd try. The Staff were friendly and welcoming

Lindsay was an excellent server. Never hovering, but knew when we might need something. She was very friendly, and always smiling, as were the rest of the staff. There was a lineup at the door and she didn’t hesitate with bringing us something else. Atmosphere was great, restaurant was packed, ribs were very good, as well as all other food brought to the table. Overall, prices were good, and the meal was well worth it. Flavoured seasonings for French fries, beans, ribs, burgers, salmon, potato salad, everything you could imagine. Very clean restaurant. Sports events on television, a pool table. What more could you ask for? Thank you Bains! Thank you Lindsay for the great service!

Got takeout had a 20$ brisket sandwich which was okay but the garden salad that was an extra $1.50 as a side, consisted of old bagged romaine lettuce and a small container of dressing. If I had been eating in it would have been sent back.
