We stayed overnight in Sarnia and were craving a quality meal after a long day of road trip fast food. We were ready for something a bit more upscale and Big Fish delivered on all fronts! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, the staff incredibly friendly, and the food? An easy 10/10. We will definitely be back the next time we are in town. We were way too hungry for photos — but trust us, it was worth every bite! 😄

The atmosphere was amazing and we met the owner who was fantastic and welcoming. My partner and I both ordered steaks and drinks. Unfortunately we had food poisoning. 6 hours after we ate we were both super sick. This wasn't a flu because as soon as we got it out of our systems we were both fine. The steak was overcooked so it would have been either the veggies or our drinks. This was the only meal we had together in 48 hours leading up and we felt fine going into the dinner. It happens, even amazing restaurants have this. The most disappointing aspect was when we called to let big fish know, the waitress who answered the phone was rude and hung up on us.

We went to big fish for the first time tonight and it was amazing! The staff provided quality service and offered to box food we were finished with as we went through our course which I thought was great instead of waiting to box when the entire meal was finished very nice touch for service! Hands down the best steak I’ve ever had in my life!!! We absolutely will be returning thanks again for a wonderful dinner

Went for reservations on Valentine’s Day at 8pm. We were seated after they finally saw us waiting at door! Ordered what we wanted off the menu and 20 minutes later waitress came to tell me they just ran out of the prime rib. I was done right there but my wife helped me realize it wasn’t end of the world so I order New York strip. Then 20 mins after that waitress came back and said they ran out of mashed potatoes. But they had baked potatoes!🧐. Not impressed. Valentines Day and they’re running outta food but don’t tell us for 40mins! Glad the Hazy Days were cold. Waitress was fine but managers need improvement. Never again!

I eat at the best steakhouses around the world, this place may have a small town feel, but bless their heart because they do fervently attempt to ritz up your experience, it's in their exceptional service, presentation and quality (dollar for dollar for cut of beef offered) that sets it almost on par with some big city steakhouses. Albeit, it's in their small town hospitality and food that'll get me back in here if I'm ever in the area again.

Had a fabulous time here. It was warm, owner went above and beyond greeting us, taking our coats. Service by Ashley was fantastic. Atmosphere was exactly what you are looking for from fine dining. I am a bit of a foodie however and have a couple of suggestions , the Crab and lobster filled mushrooms would have been better if it was identically done as Molly and OJ s . I had the surf and turf. Steak was excellent in flavor but lobster would have been better had it been poached and not grilled. The vegetables were deldente, exactly how I like them and mashed potatoes beautiful. Presentation on the plate was above and beyond. Can't wait to go back. Thank you !

My son in law has been going here for quite a few years now. Other than sharing amazing meals with family and friends, he also takes his clients for business lunches. The owner, Alex is very accommodating and the staff are fantastic ! They have really really good soups everyday and their salads are fantastic ! I have worked in restaurants 35 plus yrs and I will say that The Big Fish is a great place for lunch and dinner and the cocktails are a plus too ! The ambiance is really nice, my 9 yr old grandson said “dang “ 🔥 lol Anyway, if you’re looking for a really great place with really great food and really great service This is your place ! We like to dress up and treat ourselves to a date here once a year. The service is always great, the food as well. Highly recommend the lobster spoons and seafood gambroni. The only disappointing thing is the espresso martinis, for how beautiful their bar is and upscale the overall restaurant they are some of the most terrible ones I have ever had.
