I deal with a lot of customers and business', and i have never been so taken advantage of. Beware
EDIT: what a joke. Your brash, defensive, sarcastic and pride fueled remarks just show everyone that what we speak is truth. Your responses are cut and paste monologue of nonsense.Basically the burger I had at my friend's wedding was so disheartening it made me go vegetarian. I felt so gross after eating that. They were so overcooked that the cheese had become like a plastic McDonald's toy. The bacon was so hard it could have chipped my teeth. The Greek salad had vegetable chunks so big it was like chewing on baseballs. I cannot lie, the beans were out of this world!
Copper Kettle catering rented us a tent, tables, chairs, drinks table and lighting for my sons wedding. Right from the start Dan went out of his way to find a way to make the tent work in our backyard, even with trees and overhead wires. His team set up two days early and checked with us every step of the way. Our guests were very impressed with our set up and they even allowed us one extra day before they efficiently took down the party tent. I would definitely recommend Copper Kettle for your next event. They know their stuff!
BUYER BEWARE:We used Copper Kettle Catering Company out of Sarnia and the food and service were fantastic, however I urge you to double check your invoice! When we got our invoice, after we paid in full, prior to the wedding, we noticed that we were charged 18% gratuity on top of rental items as well as a service charge, plus he originally charged us gratuity on the HST. It is normal to pay HST on gratuity because it is a charge the company is charging you, but not to pay gratuity on the entire total after tax. We were refunded the gratuity that we paid on top of the tax as well as our deposit, but after we complained numerous times about being charged gratuity on rental items the owner, Dan said he would refund our money. After a couple weeks, we called again, he said he had sent it but it must have gotten lost, he will resend it. We still haven't received it. We got married September 7th, 2013. I am assuming we are not getting our refund. I opened a file with BBB but they did not respond to them either. Seeing all these awful reviews I see that I wasn't the only one regretting dealing with them. TAKE PRIDE ON YOUR WORK, COMMUNICATE WITH YOUR CUSTOMERS AND DON'T RIP PEOPLE OFF! As a business owner myself, I see a lot of brides come through my door. I will definitely not be recommending this company, I'm fact I always share my experience. I wonder how many others that this "miscalculated" and the customer didn't notice.
On Sept 14, 2019 our daughter got married. We had contracted Copper Kettle to provide the whole package wedding venue. The Tent, table, chairs, catering, bar, staff, etc. The whole kit and caboodle. Three days before the wedding they called our daughter and told her that they cannot provide the catering. Their entire catering staff quit. Yeah, 3 days before the wedding. You have no idea how much stress this put on the bride. (Oh by the way, she just found out she was pregnant.)We were fortunate enough to have another caterer bail us out, at a premium price. Cooper Kettle did come and provide the tent, table, chairs, and the wrong colored table cloths, but what else could we do. The groom and other members of the wedding party basically setup and arranged all the furniture in the tent the day before the wedding. Not something they should of had to do.Now for the best part. We had prepaid for a good part of the package, which included the catering portion. Now that the wedding is over, Cooper Kettle owes us part of the money we prepaid back. They refuse to return any of our phone calls, emails, the works. Not surprising they seemed to have fallen off the earth. We aren't talking about a lot of money. It's the principal of it. We contracted them to provide a service. They failed to complete the contract we have a signed for. And now they are completely ignoring us. We are now seriously considering legal action. The moral to this story, be very careful when dealing with these people.
We had Copper Kettle for a wedding on Sept. 7, 2019. The equipment was in good shape, the catering food was good. My issue is complete lack of communication.. Phone calls and emails do not get returned. We had questions and concerns, and when they finally came to set up, made a comment "see you worried for nothing". All you had to do was retun 1 message and we would not have been "worried". It is now 4 days after the event and they still have not returned for all of equipment. Ridiculous!
I want to thank the great staff at Copper Kettle for all of their help in organizing the rentals for our party. The staff helped me determine our needs accurately. The quality of the rental materials was excellent and the staff that did the setup were great! They arrived when they said they would and took everything done in a timely and efficient manner. Special thanks to Stacey and Dan for your advice and always getting back to me quickly. You guys were great!
Copper kettle Did our wedding on Aug 3 2019, they were beyond amazing, everything was set up perfect and the food was absolutely amazing, Dan and his crew were Awsome and stayed til 12 am to tear everything down, the chicken and garlic smashed potatoes and carrots every single guest commented on how amazing it all tastes, I dunno about all the other reviews, but Dan you and your crew went above and beyond for us, thank you for everything!!
as the bride- i just wanting to add to my review below and make aware that 10 of my wedding guests have come and made their own reviews, on this company. ignore the companies responses back, it is all FALSE. the fact that 10 of my guests are saying the EXACT same thing goes to show how awful they are. they genuinely tried to nickel and dime us on everything. and the burgers were in fact DRY and hard as rocks. And yes they did inform me the burgers would be gourmet burgers. and YES they were late. they knew every time needed for food and beverages yet still are trying to claim they were there on time. And no, there was not enough food for our 173 guests. 10 are to witness to that.
Delicious meals. Highly recommend.

Most of the wedding attendees have already wrote exactly what occurred so I wont get into it but when you have multiple people writing the same story, it says something. As well, the copy and paste style replies this company comes back with are laughable and 90% are completley lies and are pretty unprofessional taking zero responsibility. If this catering company did such a fantastic job like they said they did, wouldn't they have more than a 2.9 star review? Do yourself a favour and find another company, skip the risk of a horrible experience like I witnessed my good friends experience.
I attended a wedding where Copper Kettle was the caterer and I was shocked at how dry, cold, hard and burnt the burger was. I love burgers and was super excited to enjoy a "gourmet" burger from a professional caterer. I thought it was just a one-off burnt/dry burger. But sadly 4 others (just from my table of 10) said theirs were also burnt and dry. I was so disappointed and did not even finish my burger. I don't know anyone who likes burnt, cold, overdone or hard burgers. Judging by the amount of half eaten burgers left on other tables this was clearly the norm.
I was a guest at a wedding and the food was catered by this company. The food at a wedding is what people look forward to after the big day. MAN OH MAN.....what a disappointment that was. I didnt even want to give my child the food that is how bad it was. Very unprofessional company if you ask me. Also your responses to comments just goes to show it. I was a guest at the wedding and during the whole cocktail hour when your suppose to be getting some food to snack on... well it was not there on time IT WAS LATE people were standing around wondering where the food was at?...and then to top it all of when the food finally arrived as you can imagine people were hungry so they flocked to the food like hungry vultures. By the time i got to the food there was literally nothing... not even enough to serve the amount of guests. The main course was the biggest disappointment. SAD. You say every likes their burger cooked a certain way... what is that hard as a brick? because its funny everyone had the same thing so clearly there was no options? The Salads were SOUPY after that I was gone....HOME to eat the REAL food in my fridge. Save your money and go somewhere else. If i was the bride id be asking for my money back.
