Our wedding day was PERFECT! The food was amazing - we did a buffet style and no one left hungry - we even took home tons of leftovers. The bar staff were great - friendly and professional. We had the best time. 100% would recommend using Grind - especially if your event is in the Gateway room but they also cater off site! 😊

The Grind has to be one of Sarnia’s most hidden secrets. For our wedding reception held on September 27, 2025, we used The Grind as our caterer. Melissa and team were OUTSTANDING! The food was extremely well received. The staff were absolutely professional and very friendly. Our evening went on without a hitch. I was just at an event this evening at the gateway room, and it was being catered by the grind. One of the people in attendance required, an exception menu, and the meal that was created for them had been accidentally eaten. Once a team member from the grind found this out, they jumped into action and it was minutes. They had a special plate created for this individual so that it could be nourished while attending our meeting. I have always very pleased by the taste and quality of their food and their service. This was an example of hospitality. True hospitality. Good work the grind.

I’m extremely disappointed. I drove 45 minutes to get here because their hours clearly say they’re open from 11am–9pm on Monday. When I arrived, the place was completely locked up with no one around. If you’re not open, update your hours! There were also other people who were trying to get in, who were also thrown off and disappointed.
If you’re planning to go to GRIND, I’d highly recommend calling ahead to see if they’re open as you can’t count on their website and Google to be accurate.

Unable to answer their phone for two days straight and they are open. How you suppose to make reservation when they don't answer their phone. Very unprofessional.

Food was delicious. Salmon lobster special. Our server, Mya, was an absolute delight to interact with. Mya was very attentive to our table of 4 women. She kept checking on us to make sure we were OK with drinks etc. Mya... Awesome meeting you, thank you for your wonderful service and best wishes to your future! Why the 3 stars on atmosphere? The atmosphere was awesome until an individual lit a pot cigarette . It stunk up the area. We were eating outside. Should be no smoking anywhere on the patio.

My husband and I had a truly wonderful experience. It is the holiday weekend, and we didn't have a reservation. Emily offered us to sit at the bar, which was great for us as we were facing the water and had the pleasure of watching Emily interact with everyone. The food and atmosphere was so good, and the added sweetness that Emily portrayed topped it all! We highly recommend the Grind. We will definitely return on our next visit to Sarnia.
