We enjoyed the atmosphere and the service, but the food fell short of expectations.

We ordered:
Classic Burger with a side Caesar salad
Crispy Louisiana Chicken Poutine

Verdict:
The burger had a very greasy bun and a dry, bland patty.
The soggy Caesar salad seemed pre-made and not freshly prepared.
The Louisiana Chicken was dry and chewy, with fries that were excessively salted with gravy that didn’t help the dish.

Overall, decent ambiance and service, but the food quality needs improvement.

Sideways Classic Grill in Sarnia is one of my go to spots for any occasion. It’s a great place to gather with friends, family, or clients, with an inviting atmosphere. The food and drinks are always excellent, especially the chicken wings which are consistently cooked to perfection. The staff are always friendly, welcoming, and attentive, which makes every visit even better. Highly recommend for a fun night out or a casual get together.

The pad thai is made with the wrong kind of noodles and is far too sweet

We went here Friday Dec 19th 2025 for lunch, First visit to this establishment, the 2 servers were both very pleasant/ professional and efficient, the food was delicious and hot ( both had fish and chips), fresh coleslaw. recommend.

Sideways Bar and Restaurant is easily one of the most laid-back spots in Sarnia. Whether you're winding down after a long day or looking for a place to enjoy great food with friends, this place delivers.

Their wings are a must-try—bold, flavorful, and easily among the best I’ve had in a while. Perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, they hit all the right notes.

The pad Thai with shrimp was another standout. Served in a generous portion, it was packed with fresh ingredients and authentic flavors. My friends couldn't stop raving about it, and judging by their reactions, it's definitely a dish worth ordering.

Beyond the food, the service at Sideways Bar and Restaurant is top-notch. The staff is friendly, attentive, and always ready to make recommendations or accommodate special requests. Whether you're a regular or a first-time visitor, they make you feel welcome, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable dining experience.

I had the buffalo chicken sandwich. It was AMAZING!!!! Our waitress was nice and service was quick. The place has a real relaxing atmosphere. 10 out of 10 in my book!!!
