I checked out Trip Advisor for a good restaurant in Sarnia to take a couple of out-of-town business colleagues. Waggs came up high on the list. We were not disappointed. The service was great. My friends enjoyed the steak and I enjoyed the pickerel.

ANOTHER fantastic night out at Waggs Restaurant which is (in my opinion) the best "high end" restaurant in Sarnia. But don't let that "high end" tag worry you, the price for the quality of food you get is excellent!! Celebrated a 25yr. anniversary at Waggs with family last week and the meal was incredible! This restaurant serves a very CONSISTENTLY great dinner every time we have gone, I highly recommend trying any of their soups but specifically their French Onion soup!! It comes out piping hot with melted cheese on top and is absolutely delicious, We enjoyed everything from the Prime Rib (a MUST try), NY steak and butterfly shrimp as well as the Chicken Supreme (with a mushroom sauce), Pickeral and Chicken Cordon Bleu. All the meals came with a soup and/or salad (try the buttermilk Ranch dressing, it is homemade in the restaurant and is the BEST ranch dressing ever!!). We capped the night off with some desert and coffee. The place was busy but our waitress was fantastic and took VERY good care of our table! Thanks again WAGGS RESTAURANT for another pleasant dining experience!

Don’t let the simple demeanor, Super8, casual crowd fool you. This is a very good steak house ! The filet was perfect, accompanied by asparagus and broccoli plus French onion soup … really good. The prime rib is their specialty. Don’t miss it, it closes early.

When I walked in with my friends for dinner tonight we were greeted and seated by the most wonderful smiling host. Extremely friendly as soon as we walked in. After my friends and I were seated our drink orders were taken immediately despite it being busy and our food came quick and it was great!! Amazing waitress very attentive and kind. I will be returning for my lunch with friends monthly!!! Very friendly and kind environment. Your staff should know how amazing they are please share these kind words with them as I know what it’s like to work in a restaurant business, in fact I managed one for over 10 years, MUCH CREDIT TO THE WAITRESS STAFF, THE HOST, AND COOKS. I can tell waggs has a powerhouse crew. Keep up the amazing service!!! I will see you soon!

Horrible customer service. Completely rude wait staff in the dining area. The small bar side of the restaurant, I've never had an issue with and the servers on that side or small part are fantastic. I attempted to go Friday night solo. I had to wait for about 7 mins to even get noticed by the gossiping hostesses. I was finally seated at a "reservation no show table." I waited 20 mins. 3 servers passed me by, none made eye contact or offered me a beverage. A table of 4 were seated 10 mins after i was seated. A server went to take their drink order right away. I was still ignored. At the 20 min mark, I decided to get up and leave. I don't think anyone noticed this either. Friday wasn't a particularly busy night either. Not sure what the issue was. Glad I am invisible though. I won't return, just wanted a nice steak dinner. What a complete waste of my time.

I went to Waggs recently with my husband and sister. We arrived just before 5pm on a Saturday with no reservation and it was full. We were able to sit at the bar which was actually really nice! The bartender Aimee was so friendly and helpful. She helped us choose a bottle of wine, and we received our food quickly even though it was so busy! The phone was ringing off the hook for the most part but Aimee kept on top of everything, she was awesome! The food was delicious. The prime rib especially. My sister and husband also had French onion soup which looked great! We were so happy with our meal we will definitely return soon!

Wife and I visit Wagg's 3 times a year. After reading some poor reviews we decided to check for our selves. Service and food was every bit as good as I would expect from this restaurant. I keep returning because I can count on quality food and service. Just goes to prove , you can't believe all poor review's

Staying in a Super 8 I was expecting a family type restaurant, not the elegant dining room I walked into and they were BUSY. It's easy to see why they were voted #1 in Sarnia last year. Book ahead. As well, hotel guests get a 15 percent discount if they order from the regular menu (not senior)

We both had the Prime Rib au Jus from the seniors menu, available from 4 to 6pm. It comes with soup or salad and your choice of potatoe for $25. The meat melted in your mouth. The service was great too. The Carmel cheesecake was delicious too.

We went on a day trip to Sarnia and checked out local restaurants for lunch through Trip Advisor. We were not let down. The rating here is 4 1/2, which is what I look for when going to a new restaurant.....We were not disappointed! I had the fish and chips, while my husband had the steak sandwich. We were both very pleased with our meals. Our server, Theressa, was professional, friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. The gravy (ordered for my fries), by the way, is AMAZING!

we ordered takeout to our hotel when staying in Sarnia to visit family. We have dined in there before and had excellent service. Our two favorite restaurants are in Sarnia . Great meal and hope to be back in person .

Attended with 12 friends for a special birthday party. All our varied meals were very good with good portions. Also allowed to bring our own birthday cake with it's personal message & our server presented it nicely. The place was full including another large group celebrating an anniversary. We knew a lady in that group & they were also pleased with their meals & service.

We had the rib eye steak dinner special and were not disappointed. The soup was delicious. The steak was cooked perfectly and the potatoes and vegetables were all delicious. Shauna our waitress was very friendly (as were all the staff) and everything was served hot. Will have the prime rib next time. Really nice to have good food at reasonable price at a family owned restaurent! EC
