Great food. Love that they add descriptions and spicy levels to their menu for easy ordering if you aren't familiar with the food. Meat was tender and flavours were on point. Sauces came out seperate to meal so could add amount of heat wanted.

ordered the japchae w beef and tteokbokki w cheese. the japchae was good and the presentation of the tteokbokki was nice and it tasted alright. service was also nice, with the servers coming around frequently to top up waters and check in with us. it was pretty quiet on a saturday evening around 5pm. parking is to the right of the building i believe, i accidentally parked to the left which i believe is for the building next over

Two Chicken Katsu orders with a side of dumplings and a coke via skip.

Chicken was smashed extremely thin and was completely overcooked without any seasoning.

The sides were plain sticky white rice..and whatever they call a side salad.

Dumplings were small, cold and also overdone.

Subtotal...50 dollars lol.
If you own a dog it won't be a total loss hopefully.

5 stars all around! Lots of details to come:

My sister and I ordered the pear and orange juice, shared the Army Stew and kimchi pancakes for lunch, and got bingsu (shaved ice with toppings) for dessert.

The stew was delicious (especially the broth), and our waitress was incredibly kind with showing us what temperature the tabletop conductor should be. The pancakes were really nice, especially the outer crispier bits (a personal preference lol). We had enough leftover to bring home and share again for dinner the next day!

But we couldn't leave without dessert! All of the different toppings (sweet red bean, grain powder, vanilla ice cream, grass jelly, etc) were fun and tasty. It was a bit icy at first, but once it all started melting a bit together it was extra good.

Atmosphere wise, the place was great. Very nicely decorated, spacious, and quiet kpop music playing in the background. The service was also very nice, with various banchan (appetizers like kimchi and pickled onions) being delivered right away. Our waitress was very attentive, and happy to answer any questions we had.

As a fan of Korean food, I can condidently say that this place was top tier. I'm so glad Sarnia now has this available!

Food was amazing. The stew’s broth was very rich. Even the side dishes and the sauce was amazing. We got the bibimbap, pork galbi (which was perfect) and the spicy beef stew.

Ordered for pickup, it was fast! Usually by the time we get takeout home it's sogged and luke warm at best, this was very different. It was the perfect temperature, full flavor, and nothing was soggy at all! The service was very friendly, prices are decent, and the portions were large. The Korean chicken was spectacular, and those cheese balls were off the charts delicious!

I stopped by Sodam on my way back to Toronto.. and I was amazed by the how great the food was. Very well seasoned pork bone soup and they use premium neck bones/back ribs. The banchan was pretty good as well. Staff often checked in with me. This should be your first stop when you cross the border.

A real Korean restaurant is a welcome addition to dining options. First time here and arrived around 130pm. It was pretty quiet but we were greeted at the door and sat at a nice spacious table.

I ordered the kimchi chigae which arrived bubbling hot and very flavourful though I would have it a bit spicier so I will remember for next time I order it. I also ordered a Korean seafood pancake which I took home to eat and it was very nicely cooked with a generous amount of seafood.

After leaving to go shopping I realized I left my camera. Once I arrived she had or waiting for me as I entered.

Great first experience and I look forward to trying other menu items.

Sodam is one of those places where you go not just for the delicious food, but also seeing the super nice owner! My partner and I came here frequently enough that the owner recognized us, and when we told her we were moving out of Sarnia, she gave us a little gift. How sweet is that?! 😭
