Went to Georgies for lunch with my family and, was absolutely blown away with some of the best chicken shawarma and some kindest hospitality. Definitely save some room for there awsome desserts as well.

I came one night. I bought a rice for 21 dollars for myself and my husband. I saw that the restaurant was closing. He threw five servings of rice in the garbage. I said, don't throw it away, give it to me. We are new to Canada. I need food He kept me waiting for half an hour. He called me. I wondered why it is not easy for a human being to eat that food instead of throwing garbage. In the end, he gave me too much and threw the other in the garbage. I was very upset. This is inhuman.

Amazing food as always, everything is good here! We have been coming here for many years and sure, the quantity of food has reduced with time but the quality is always impeccable. Definitely worth a visit when you're in the Soo !

We LOVE crossing the bridge to go to Georgie’s. When you walk in you’re greeted and treated like family that’s come to visit. The food is homemade and delicious. We always order too much and bring it home. The story of Georgie’s immigration to Canada is posted from the newspaper- a happy ending. Highly recommend.

I went to Georgie’s Shawarma for a falafel wrap and dessert today. The dessert was posted at $4 and noticed I was charged $10.
Very nicely I asked the cashier about it and she said they ran out of the small portions. Given that I did not get the dessert yet, I said could you please refund it. She said George has to do that.
I went and sat down at my table on my phone when George came speaking down at me and saying I’ve to be nice to him and his staff. For a second, I thought he was joking. So I smiled and said, are you serious? He started yelling. Took the food back and the whole way back to the kitchen talked about banning me.
I went back to the cashier and asked for my money back please. Since I had no food and was told I wasn’t welcome there. He charged out of the kitchen took the receipt and crumbled it and told me to go complain.
I got my jacket and came back again when I recorded this video and asked if he’ll give me my money. He refused. I stopped recording and left!
I am in shock and extremely upset for receiving such mistreatment and embarrassment. Still no food and he took $27 plus from me.
Anyone with ideas on how to get my money back please? Definitely not going back there again!
I can’t believe I was treated this way even though I was not agressive or mean or did anything to deserve such abuse.
