I took my wife here for her 50th birthday, with a friend, on Saturday April 18t.h. We had a reservation for 6pm. I had asked for a table in̈ the lower section next to the fireplace. The woman said she would make an effort, but offered no guarantee.
We arrived early, and could see that a table was open. We were then told that it was reserved for someone else. Really!?
They sat us in the aisle, in a booth, just passed the front desk. Our friend froze and shivered through our entire meal.
The front desk women were abrupt and discourteous, followed by similar service from our waitress. My ribs were nearly powder they were so dry. My wife's Prime Rib was the 10 ounce. 5 ounces of meat and 5 ounces of fat. Our bacon and cheese garlic stick was almost plain bread and we had to request our drink order more than twice.
Questioning the quality of our food fell on deaf ears, and if our guest didn't have severe anxiety, I would have raised a bigger fuss.
More than $200.00 for this meal and greatly disappointed.

Every time I come to the thunder Bay area I seem to end up here. I really do enjoy the taco salad that they have but everything they serve here is pretty good

My very first time to Canada and I feel like I picked a great place for a meal. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The food was great! I would highly recommend a visit if you are in Sault Ste Marie!

North 82 Streak House on 82 Great Northern Rd, Sault Ste. Marie I can NOT give more than 2 stars. I had made them aware that I am a reviewer and explained to them this is why I am taking pictures and videos.

The service I received was tragic.

The Server was very unprofessional and when asked I for wine she bought me a dirty glass that you could clearly tell it was dirty then got upset when I asked for her to get me a new one. Crazy for the server to get upset I don't know how safe or what kind of germs are in that cup.
Paying over 100$ I best be getting a clean cup without attitude.

After Looking around there was food on the ground at my feet what looked to be peace's of old loaded potato. There was also lots of dust on railing and wood paneling. So not the cleanest environment to eat in.

I had burnt my self on the loaded potato and noticed a child down the way about to open the same thing, ( they give you the potato wrapped In hot in foil from the oven complete with cheese baked over the tin foil so you will end up eating some also) I asked to speak with a manager and let her know this might not be a good way to do this as I burnt my self and I will eat tin foil as its baked into the potato, I was told this is way they always done it and its not changing, I said but people are going get hurt like that child down there and people are going eat tinfoil she told me that our problem. That was a Manager at a restaurant I am paying over 100$ for 2 people to eat at.

I had called them after I left to know how it went and what they could improve on. The manager told me I DONT CARE STOP CALLING DONT COME BACK IF YOU DONT LIKE HOW WE DO THINGS. Then hung up on me.

I called back and got to speak with the owner he was much more professional and seemed to care this was a bad time for me. I'm really hoping North 82 Can step of there service and cleaning.

The Food was good.

I have made lots of reviews across Ontario and these price points and these conditions and levels service are unacceptable. I can not In good heart tell people to bring there family or people on dates here.

There are much better places for cheaper with good food clean and nice staff to everyone.

I will retry North 82 in late summer of 2026 and update this review.

A group of eight us went for New Years Eve dinner last night and the experience was very disappointing. First of all the prices on the very limited menu were quite outrageous. Fifty seven dollars for prime rib...and they charged three buck extra for a house salad. My wife left half of her prime rib on the plate as it was full of grisle. The veg consisted of a piece of zucchini and about a quarter of a red pepper. The salad was slimy and consisted of greens and about three sad looking pieces of tomato. I don't mind spending top dollar for a good meal. To say this was mediocre is being kind. The only positive I can think of is the coffee was decent. We won't be back.

Horrible experience!! DO NOT go here. Was visiting family and treated them for dinner, they loved North 82 and we went there…I’ll never be back and neither will they! Steak was so fatty and grissly it had to be returned. My server forgot to add chicken to my meal. We were waiting for more food while everyone else ate. The server, who was snippy, said nothing would be done. “You got the meal right eventually, that’s all we do”. We asked to speak to the manager. He said my cousins meal would be free, and gave me a discount. However, the server came back and said 10% off both wrong meals was above and beyond. Saved $4 off our $200 bill…That’s an insult! We left disappointed by the food and especially the service. Our family go there often and were shocked and saddened how down hill the place went. I doubt they’ll be back. They told us “all their steak” was grissly like that…which was not the case ever before. The server was unpleasant, refusing to help. We all voiced that the common courtesy is to cover it or at least deduct 50% for the inconvenience, error, and bringing out steak that’s not even edible. We did voice our concerns and the waitress laughed and said, “this is how we do business”. If so, DO NOT GIVE THEM BUSINESS!!! If they lack the integrity to give us reasonable customer service, they do not deserve their local customers. There’s nothing I can do, being a tourist, other than write this review and hope it helps someone else choose a different restaurant for a quality meal. If you’re planning a nice dinner, don’t leave disappointed and angry. Go somewhere else.

The lobster was overcooked and cold, they took it back, refused to correct and offered no substitution. Filet mignon was cooked well but seasoned poorly. It’s dark and cold, not a welcoming atmosphere.

Complained to manager that all 7 people at my table didn't like their food. Manager said I haven't had a complaint in over 33 years. Well Mike you got 7 today. Never coming back here again horrible food just like the manager Mike.

We waited an hour for our food to arrive and there was barely anyone there. I could understand if they were busy, but they weren’t. Weirdly, the people next to us showed up after we ordered, and they got their food around the same time we did.

Apart from that, I paid for food that I didn’t even receive. The item I ordered was supposed to come with pasta, which never showed up.

Overall a bizarre experience.

Food was done beyond expectations..both couples were beyond satisfied and the waitress was very knowledgable and made us feel comfortable...our go to place when we are in the Sault...Thanks
