Wonderful place to try out Sri Lankan food. Cheap cheap cheap !! And very tasty ! Beef Varuval was awesome and Poori Bhaji was delicious !! Very very affordable too. The service was excellent. He took our order and packed it up quick. Will definitely be back for more food. 20 idiyappam in a box for under 3$, you won’t get that anywhere else ! And 50 cent a piece for vada. Amazing ! Crispy soft vada ! Wish the store was close to me !

I had the Chicken Briyani, the Chicken Kothu Roti, and the Burfi here. All were fairly nice, with my favorite main being the Kothu Roti. For that Kothu Roti, it had pretty good spice to it, and tastes pretty comforting. It is fairly dry, almost like ours a bit old or so. I'll be fair and say that I haven't eaten Kothu Roti much before, so I don't have a good comparison point. But other than the sense that it was maybe a bit old/dry (helped, though, by the good sauces they give), I liked it, and would try something like it again. The Briyani is good, if you like something with bone-in Chicken pieces in it, though I felt it was even drier than the Kothu Roti. The burfi was the dessert I got, and I liked it quite a bit. It was pretty creamy (I think that's the best way I can describe the taste), and works particularly well after a spicy dish here. Everything here was decently cheap for the amount you get; the Kothu Roti is $12 CAS, but you effectively get 2 people's worth of food, in my view. Overall, it's a decent place to check out, and I'd be interested in trying more items another time (they seem to have a lot).

I discovered this place three years ago through a friend who is a loyal customer, and now I understand why! Their samosas are absolutely delicious. Even though it’s quite a distance from my home, this is always our go-to spot whenever we crave samosas. Highly recommend!

A virundhu (Feast) fit for an easy Friday! If your looking for a rich and flavourful meal, on a banana leaf in traditional Eelam Thamil culinary style, Babu’s has got you covered. They have a special on Friday, and the meal is enough for 2-2.5 people. Trust me, you’ll be full half way through. They add all the trimmings and you get to select rice and curry options while it’s prepared right in front of you. The payasam and pukkai at the end is the best. Try pouring it onto your banana leaf and eating it that way. For the authentic experience, you’ve got to toss the cutlery and eat it with your hand. It’s drool worthy!

Oh, wrote I forget, if your looking for non-veg options, they have those options too. Just ask!

Parking: Parking is always available and accessing the plaza is super easy. You can park right in-front of the store.

Very disappointed with the order of 3 veggie kothu I oredered today. You guys should stick with one curry on the kothu instead putting a mixture of curry’s to make the kothu is a turnoff. We found pumpkin,cauliflower,beans,big slice of carrots in the kothu. Roti as the main ingredient was very less.in my opinion total waste of money the person making it should know better,customers are paying for a quality product and it’s a disappointment that Qualitywasnt meet.we order today September 13th 2024.my family bought 3 kothu only ended up eating 2. I hope management at babu realizes this and changes the product. I was not happy eating this kothu which set me back $36.will try different srilankan restaurant.hope babu management fixes these issues for future customers.
