Very quiet restaurant they had the soccer game on, which was really nice while waiting for the food. The only thing I would say is if you’re gonna get a sandwich get the sauce on the side because it makes the bread very soggy very quickly and if you’re gonna get toppings, only get half the portion because it’s huge and hard to eat if you don’t.
I’ve been going to California sandwiches for years and I used to live in Bowmanville and I would drive from Bowmanville to Warren and Eglinton. I would drive anywhere to go and get California sandwiches. It’s one of the best steak on the buns I’ve had in a really long time. I have pictures of how big the chicken or their steak on a bun used to be. Oh wow, just looking at it makes my mouth water.
The food might be a bit more expensive than sandwiches from other places, but for good reason. Their sandwiches used to be cheaper, but prices have gone up over time. Even so, they still load them with lots of meat, and they’re very filling. I’d rather they raise the price than cheap out on what they do best. The veal is really good, and I would definitely recommend this place.
