Service is abysmal, food quality is underwhelming for the price
Best ginger milk dessert, don’t know the English name. Legit canto dessert house.
Recently visited w/ my gf as she was craving some chinese dessert. I think it's been at least a decade since I first tried this place and I didn't really remember if it was good or not.
We ordered a mango sago and the sesame glutinous rice balls w/ crushed peanuts, coconut shreds and sugar.
The mango sago ... while it wasn't bad, both my gf and I agreed that it's something both our parents could've made better LOL. The mango soup didn't have much flavour and the sago at the bottom was even MORE bland. And they have the audacity to charge $13.50 (as of June 2025) for this small ass bowl. Not recommended at all.
The tong yun w/ crushed peanuts, sugar and coconut shreds was a lil better. It was my first time trying this style of tong yun (I think I still prefer the classic, black sesame filled tong yuns over these).
The food is not good. You can find much better dessert in Toronto.

Inaccurate hours of operation. Sometimes they are closed when they are supposed to be open. Tasty desserts. Prepared fresh and at the perfect temperature. Staff are as friendly as expected. Very uncomfortable chairs so you don't stay too long. This small location can get cramped quickly.

The black sesame rice balls in ginger soup, black sesame paste, and the peanut rice balls in milk are our favorite desserts! This is a must stop every time we visit Toronto!
Very popular place, especially on the weekends if you're wanting to dine in. Expect a wait for a table. Carryout orders are usually pretty quick.
The menu is pretty extensive with lots of choices. I don't even know what else to try. Open to suggestions!

There are many people here every time. The Cantonese-style sugar water is basically not very sweet. I like it and recommend it~

I have eaten here many times. The double-skinned milk and sago milk are both delicious. But this time I ordered the stewed milk with rock sugar and papaya. It actually tasted of ginger. I don’t know why ginger was added. There was no mention of ginger on the menu.
