Evana Pâtisserie & Café

Very pretty and modern looking cafe! Came for the first seating of the afternoon tea service. I had high hopes especially looking at all the beautiful pastries and desserts in the display cases. The afternoon tea package is enticing in concept but I feel it missed it's mark in terms of execution on some things. The food flavours were lacking for me and the tea options were limited to standard or regular options that you can find at most cafes. It would have been nice to see a matcha option seeing that is what they are known for. I guess when I think of afternoon tea service, not high tea which is a common misconception, I look for an elevated sense of enjoyment outside of the regular offering. Unfortunately, it was missing today. Despite this, I would return to order a la carte. There was a steady stream of customers while we were there so that says a lot for their regular offerings and where they excel.

We were given a warm and friendly welcome by the 2 young ladies and it was very nice even they were quite busy . We enjoyed very much our croissants and oolong rose tea and even bought a small container even it was quite pricey for a small container.

Tried their matcha flight! Great offering. Really loved their viral pastries. I enjoyed the croissant looking one the most! The mango was also a good choice. I did not like the chocolate cake with strawberries on top- that one I took a bite and had to throw away. Didn’t enjoy it. But the other items were good. A bit pricey but I guess you’re also there for the flight experience .

Tried the matcha flight. Beautiful presentation. My favorite were the honey jasmine and silken tofu foam. Good idea to do first taste and then mix. I think using the wooden stirrer’s were easier than straws.

They don’t allow you to bring in laptops on the weekends. They didn’t bother telling us about that policy until AFTER we paid for our drinks and when we asked for a refund, they gave us cash instead refunding it to my card. Not returning again. Drinks are way overpriced too

We tried the truffle mushroom soup, matcha flight, Nutella bow, Dear Hermes, and yuzu cheesecake brioche. We loved the matcha flight, and my favourite pastry was the yuzu cheesecake. Everything tasted really good, and I liked that nothing was overly sweet. We will definitely be back. Thanks for your great service!

Bought 6 pastries for $44. They were kinda mid. The croissants were big but I've had better decadent ones for around $4-$5.

Cute spot with decent matcha and pastries. The matcha flights were definitely the highlight and a fun way to try different flavours. The matcha latte itself was okay, but I was hoping for a stronger, more authentic matcha taste since it felt a little mild. The croissants were really good though , buttery, flaky and fresh. I especially liked the Roche croissant, but I honestly wish it had more filling inside because the flavour was great and it would’ve made it even better. Still a nice café and worth checking out if you enjoy matcha and pastries.

Best matcha! 👌 I love coming here for my weekly coffee. Its calm around 1pm, so it feels like I the place is for me.

The size is worth the price. The drinking temperature is perfect. You can drink as soon as its served which is My reason for 5 stars.

Pastries are huge 😍, flaky and warm. Ive tried the cinnamon buns, plain croissant, I would buy again.
The service is quick and I appreciate them. Be prepared to spend 15$ per person with tip.

Remember to always tip your servers they deserve it.

One of the best places in Scarborough for croissants and other Viennoiseries. They also have good cakes and desserts. Their drinks are okay. I wouldn’t go there for just for their drinks but I would for their croissants.
