I I’d seen this restaurant many times in the plaza but never went in — maybe my intuition was right. I’d read some reviews mentioning poor service, but honestly, the staff were nice to me. The problem wasn’t with them; it was the food and the overall cleanliness.
As you can see, I ordered quite a bit (I was curious and wanted to try a little of everything 🤭). I didn’t finish most of it though. My friend stepped out to get cash and was gone for about 20 minutes. During that time, one of the staff came by and showed concern, saying he should’ve gone later. She was really sweet about it, and I assured her everything was fine.
The food, however, was disappointing. It looked like a homemade meal, but when I tried the soup, it tasted bland and oddly smelled like bleach — not a good sign. The oyster omelet was okay at best, the beef dish was below average, and the fried rice was very dry. The “promo eel” turned out to be all bones. To top it off, the beer advertised for $1 wasn’t even beer — it was a non-alcoholic beverage.
In the end, I only ate a small plate: a bit of the fried rice, one piece of beef, and one piece of omelet. That was enough for me.
Overall, I can’t recommend this place.

Food - some food was tasteless, but overall no main issues.
Atmosphere - not bad.
Service - The service was incredibly rude and made us feel unwelcome from the start. Three different staff members were outright disrespectful—either snapping at us or just standing there, watching us awkwardly while we counted out cash to pay for our meal. We had change, and even told her we could pay at the counter, but instead of letting us do that, she insisted we sit there, while she stared at us, waiting for us to count out every penny (for their tips, no less!). It was not only rude but downright unprofessional. They completely missed the mark on customer service, and I regret giving them any tips at all. After that experience, they definitely did not deserve a tip, so we cut it significantly - but it should have been zero.

Service is minimal and actually rude when we asked about the food thats been ordered for half an hour. Most of the dishes were very salty. Some of the veggies had the cut sides blackened and some leaves I would discard. Only the eel was fresh but the sauce was salty and greasy. We had the fish soup which tasted nothing like fish. Not even having much papaya or tomatoes. One piece of fish had racid taste 🤮 Not coming back!

Came to dine in with my family. No one greeted us right after we walked in, so we just took seats at an empty table on the side. Some dishes came pretty quick after we ordered them but they do not taste good nor fresh. It feels like they are pre-made and kept in a steamer or warmer and served ASAP as patrons order them.
The restaurant itself looks very old and poorly maintained. The taps in the washrooms are literally dripping water instead of running water like a regular tap.
When we received the bill, we paid in full, including a tip. However, the server returned the change on the bill plate and then chased after us as we were leaving, insisting that we had not tipped enough and that a minimum of 10% of the total bill was required. This is unacceptable, tipping is not mandatory by law. Tips should be earned through good service, tasty food, and a pleasant environment, not demanded or forced upon customers.

Our go to fam spot
Not impressed with Cantonese chow mein
Me and my family are visible black minorities and as soon as we walked in we felt extremely uncomfortable by the host. The host barely said two words to us before seating us. She didn’t even give us a menu until we asked almost ten minutes later. Didn’t ask if we wanted anything to drink. Every time we wanted to ask for something we had to look for her, and she expressed annoyance on her face. After 20 minutes of not being able to provide our order due to poor service, we had to leave. I highly discourage anyone to come here

Bring cash for their combo specials. Food is well priced.
The combo for 2 was more to the bland side (like a bland diet). Not really our cup of tea, but our elders like it. The Sweet Sauce Pork $15 was a big portion.
Parking: Hard to get in and out of the complex, drive carefully.

Dim sum is fairly good quality for a great price. They have specials depending on the day of week where all dim sum dishes are a certain price. We were seated quickly and the service was great. The options are fairly standard offering all the traditional dim sum dishes. Our food was served fairly quickly and tasted fairly good. Overall, it was a filling meal for a fair price and good quality dim sum.

Every dish is delicious
The prices are economical and affordable
But there is an Asian lady whose service attitude is "customer-level" 😂😂😂
Blanched chicken
The chicken is yellow in color, shiny, smooth and chewy on the outside, and tender and juicy on the inside. Paired with fresh scallion sauce, it adds aroma and layering. It is definitely a classic and refreshing taste.
Stir-fried crab with ginger and scallion
The crab shell should be bright red and the crab paste should be rich. The aroma of ginger and scallion brings out the freshness and sweetness of crab meat, making it very delicious when stir-fried.
