This place is still closed even though it no longer says “temporarily closed” on Google Maps. Their OPEN sign is still flashing. Came all this way and was disappointed

Used to go here a lot for cheap meals. Not a Hong Kong cafe, not an Indian restaurant, not fusion. No identity. Hard pass now.

This place is terrible. No other way to put it. We were the only people in the restaurant and food still took almost 30 mins to come out. Cooks aren't even Chinese. Curry fish balls 1 out of 10. Fish balls were slimy and curry was thick and gross. Peppercorn steak on rice was so disgusting 0 out of 10 and the satay beef on rice was a 3 out of 10. 4 stars must all be friends and family. Save your money and go somewhere else. Stomach doesn't feel great after eating.

Tucked in a little plaza near Midland and Sheppard. My first time here and they were not busy. Your typical HK cafe, lots of options and combos. I was quite satisfied with my order, but nothing in particular stood out. Went for breakfast and their portions were generous.

The most rude and ignorant service I've ever seen. A nightmare.
The most strange satay beef noodles I have ever tasted
The beef satay macaroni has a strange taste with an odd garlicky taste to it. The soup consistency is also weirdly thick, probably with starch added into it. It just doesn't taste like what Hong Kong beef satay should taste like.
The preserved vegetable vermicelli and luncheon meat vermicelli also have a funny rosemary taste to them, which doesn't really fit the overall taste of the dishes.
The taste of everything just feels off and confusing and makes me lose all appetite after the first few spoonful.
Drinks are at best mediocre. The bitter undertones wasn't completely washed off through the brewing and still remained in the milktea.
I would simply avoid getting Hong Kong style breakfast item from here. The taste is weird and the food is disappointing...
I would not head back a second time.
I really like this little restaurant tucked away from the main street. I've recommended this to many of my friends already. Good price, good food and good lunch portions. With their prices, I can try the whole menu without feeling ripped off and disappointed. I like the ambiance, brings me back to my childhood days visiting Hong Kong. They speak Cantonese, which I can appreciate. Also English. And they open early so it's perfect Congee time. For $10, you get a congee accompanied with a noodle dish. That's unbeatable! Highly recommended this cute little restaurant tucked away on Glen Watford Dr. Also, parking right in front!
Great food for the price, nice comfy place that is kind of underrated in my opinion. Lots of good options like butter chicken and baked filet rice/noodle. The milk tea is not as good as other places, but still good considering it’s free unless you get it cold like I did (for like a dollar extra).
Got the butter chicken and it was a very generous portion of rice and chicken, that stacks up against butter chicken I’ve had from an Indian place that South Asian friends recommended to my sister, while also being significantly cheaper. Has a good amount of spiciness while still being fairly mild overall.
Service was very responsive and kind, which is surprising because most Asian places aren’t exactly known for top tier service. One of the waitresses saw my dad enjoying a sip of my chicken soup, and gave him one for free, even though it doesn’t come with his order.
As long as you don’t expect mind-blowing, Michelin star-level food here, you’ll have a comfy, value-heavy meal that is honestly enough for two meals worth, for most people, in a comfy, relaxed atmosphere.

Very good value for amount of food, service was good. Milk tea was weak. Food was average for HK style cafe. Beef Satay rice noodles were a little odd tasting, flavor was strange. Preserved veg rice noodles were okay. French toast was okay but nothing to write home about. Meals came with toast, fried egg and hotdog. It’s a lot of food for 2 people and a toddler.
Untimely service and very impatient service
Food is ok. Not bad at all. They have a new staff and she doesn’t know how to serve. That’s odd to me. The HK style milk tea is good but the soup is not hot, just warm.
We have ordered from this diner on Uber for a couple of times now and wanted to show appreciation on their food!
Their food is always delicious. The best part is that the price is reasonable and the portions are sufficient as well. Keep up the good work!
Open Early good alternative for Breakfast
