On my recent visit to neighbouring New Sun BBQ, I was advised to also try Ho Ho BBQ, so of course I did just that- I got comparable dishes at both spots and tried them side by side. Simply put, I much preferred Ho Ho's offerings- they tasted much better to me than what I had next door, and the lady working the cash was just a bundle of warmth and just so kind. The value proposition is exceptional with what you get here. Both the pork and soy chicken had great flavour, and I love the little 'sauce'/garnish of finely chopped herbs/aromatics they put on top. My only hesitation with eating here in the future would stem from the cleanliness/hygiene... there are literally entire pigs hanging all over right when you enter, and it's generally very tight/squeeze (pickup only) and maybe not the cleanest... though I'm sure it looks worse than it is. Is it the best bbq pork and soy chicken I've ever had? Certainly not, not by quite a margin, but for the money it's solid and I'd happily eat there if in the area again and on a budget.

Small takeout restaurant, $6 tax in for a combo of meat, rice, veggies and soup; great price in today's economy. Lineup was out the door but wait time reasonable. No chicken left at 7pm so need to go earlier, I got the BBQ pork which was quite decent.

Small take out place. I didn’t realize I could get 2 meats for $6. I just got the bbq pork. It’s more charred than other places plus it is a bit fattier but still had meat. You need some fat or it can be dry. Came with vegetables. I think it’s cash only plus if you’re there you should go get a winter melon pastries inside at fragrant bakery (known for this speciality) anyways it’s a bit out of the way for me but I would try it again for the price. The portion is smaller than some places but for $6 I can buy 2 and it would be about the same so ?♀️ why not. Soup was decent too. I didn’t have issues but I didn’t request a leaner cut. So I can’t comment on other reviews.

Be careful. I went to buy two sets of rice today. I was persuaded that chicken was on sale on Wednesday, so I ordered an extra chicken. However, I hurried home and found that I had been charged an extra 5 yuan. The chicken also had a sour smell. It tasted so bad that I didn’t dare to eat it, so I threw it away. The so-called double rice with barbecued pork only gave me 4 pieces. It was so deceptive. I will never go there again.

Terrible customer service and unhygienic environment
I visited this roast meat shop and had a very unpleasant experience with their cashier. During my last visit, I ordered meal A, but they gave me the wrong meal B. The next day, I called to complain, and the staff who answered the phone told me, “Just come back next time, and we’ll give you the correct meal.” I explained that I don’t live nearby, so I couldn’t return right away. I asked if they could at least note down my name and phone number for future reference, but they insisted it wasn’t necessary and told me to just mention it when I came back.
This time, when I went to the shop and explained the situation to the cashier, an older lady with a mushroom-shaped haircut, she responded rudely. She told me that since I had eaten the wrong meal, she would only deduct $1. I explained that the staff on the phone never mentioned anything about a $1 discount and that I had asked them to record my name and number, but they refused.
This older cashier was extremely rude, loudly scolding me in front of other customers, even though it was clearly the shop’s mistake. The shop’s hygiene was also poor. I’d advise others to think twice before coming here.

I ordered a BBQ pork combo. It came with steamed rice, yu choy and BBQ pork as well as soup. Can’t beat the price—only $6 taxes included! There must be reasons why the line is so long. My little kids and I really enjoyed the food tonight. Thanks again for saving me time making supper! I will definitely come back to try other combos.

Crispy skin from the roast pork, and tender soy sauce chicken.
You cannot eat at the food court in the plaza, someone will kick you out if they see you eating bbq meats lol. Many customers dined in the car.
