The food is really sweet. The curry was sweet. The pad Thai was sweet. The curry was also very thin, so even though it came in a larger container then other places, it just felt like more water was added. The potato was also still on the firm side. The pad Thai also lacked wok hei and the beef was poorly cooked.The shrimp donuts are good though. Tastes like the crab claw from Chinese wedding banquets.
Without a doubt one of the top authentic Thai restaurants in northern Scarborough (which is really hard to find). This place is so iconic in its odd location: adjacent to a no-name gas station. Everytime I mention this place to friends, I tell them to look for the gas station as a marker.That being said, the place is run by absolutely lovely people, and the green and panang curry here that I've tried rank among the top 10 that I've tried in Toronto. Came here for Valentine's Lunch.. place was empty with just one server .Service was so so...but we love the food here..it's fresh just the right amount of spice and good flavours. Would give it 5 stars if the service was better.
