Good food
I have been a customer of Lucky Lin’s Restaurant, but lthis recent experience has convinced me that it will be my last visit.
I ordered the chilli chicken with fried rice and called the restaurant to inquire about the price before placing my order. The representative who answered the phone was very short and dismissive. Before I could finish asking my question, she hung up on me. This is not the first time this has happened, which is disappointing because basic courtesy and customer service should be expected.
The quality of the food has also declined. This is the third time I have ordered the chilli chicken, and once again, it did not taste good. The texture/flavour was disappointing and not what I would expect from a dish I have paid for twice hoping it would be better the third time around.
I understand that everyone can have an off day, but repeated poor customer service combined with inconsistent food quality has left me very dissatisfied. I hope management takes these concerns seriously and works on improving both the customer experience and the quality of the food.

Authentic Guyanese-Chinese food with generous portion size that's almost serving two. Very reasonable priced for their Lunch special. Also ordered the jerk chicken and it's just the right spicy level
Recommended dishes: Jerk Chicken
Reasonably priced good stuff
Tasty food, big portions. I had the bbq chicken with fried rice. (lunch special)
Had lunch today at Lucky Lin's — $9 special, can’t beat it.
We got the chance to meet Andrew, along with the owners Kelly and Mary, and they were all amazing people. The whole experience was top-notch from start to finish.
We ordered the chili chicken with fried rice, pepper shrimp, and fried chicken with fried rice. The portions were generous, and everything was packed with flavor — perfectly seasoned with that unique Chinese-Guyanese twist.
Honestly, it’s something special they’ve got going on there. If you’re in Scarborough, it’s a must-try. Go check them out — and tell them I sent you.
Was a Lucky Lin Regular. Recently stopped eating Rice and Noodles and tried to get Chili Chicken with Vegetables. Offered to pay an extra 5 or 6 bucks on top. They refused. I wasn't being rude or trying to be difficult I just wanted some veggies. Cook came out said he doesn't do that. Just throw the Chili chicken on some Veg and make some extra money. Poor service, which is sad because I love this place.

Food was a great price point. Chilly shrimp cooked to perfection was not a fan of the noodles the rice on the other hand was one of the best fried rice I have had.

Restaurantji Recommends
I tried their chili chicken and shrimp fried rice. The meat was straight up rotten, old, musty, and just nasty. I could go on and on about their disgusting food which can probably kill someone.........
I’ll never eat from this place again. All those TikTok videos hyping up the food must be fake, because I’m keeping it 100% real, the food is terrible, full stop. And to make it even worse, I ended up with food poisoning. You could literally smell the stench on the chicken, like it had been cooked and left sitting in the fridge for weeks. I would recommend people to avoid this place unless you wanna get food poisoning and eat rotten old food.

I had heard good things about this place so I was super excited to try this out. Had the chili chicken and it was some of the worst I’ve ever had. It had a fish-like flavour to it. Won’t be coming back.
Edit: gave me the runs too , this is my 4th deuce tonight

Disappointed with my experience at Lucky Lin. We ordered rice and a few other items, and the rice was overcooked and not enjoyable. Shortly after eating, everyone in our group complained of stomach pain, which raises concerns about food quality and safety.
We ended up throwing away about $80 worth of food because we didn’t feel comfortable eating it. The restaurant did not look clean or hygienic, and it was empty, which should have been a red flag.
I would not recommend this place and suggest others choose a different option!!

Lucky Lin’s Restaurant is a hidden gem that truly delivers on both flavor and experience. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere feels warm and welcoming, making it a great spot whether you’re dining with family or catching up with friends.
The food is the real highlight—every dish is fresh, well-seasoned, and beautifully presented. You can tell that a lot of care goes into both the quality of ingredients and the cooking. Their menu offers a great variety, and everything I tried was packed with authentic, rich flavors that keep you wanting more.
The service was also impressive. Staff were attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was just right without being overwhelming. It really added to the overall positive dining experience.
If you’re looking for a place that combines delicious food, good portions, and a comfortable vibe, Lucky Lin’s is definitely worth visiting. I’ll absolutely be coming back!
