As a Los Angeles native visiting Toronto, I was on the look out for boba places to visit that I wouldn't otherwise find back home. Machi Machi came on my radar as it seems to be a popular chain on the east coast. I couldn't find a Machi Machi in LA, so I decided to come here. I thought their drinks were very unique and different from what you'd find at a lot of boba places, especially in LA which is a large mecca of boba varieties to choose from. Toronto's diners are really crazy. In an area with more than ten or twenty milk tea restaurants, there are actually long queues. Every time I come to Toronto, this is the last stop. I buy some and pack some for friends. The only drawback is that the sugar content of some drinks cannot be adjusted as they are too sweet. This time I tried the sparkling fruit tea. It was very refreshing and not greasy. It is very suitable for digestion after meals.

Oolong Tea with Cream Foam Cheese Tieguanyin ($6.1/ R size) [Less sweet and less ice]The Tieguanyin is a bit strong, making it a delicious tea. The cheese milk cap is a bit salty, a bit too strong, and not very drinkable. The Tieguanyin tastes good, so it is not a good drink. I personally think that tea with a milk cap is best if you just drink it for a while and then drink it from a drinking bottle. You can taste the milk cap and tea separately, so the packaging is a bit elegance....read full review
