This truly was a 10 out of 10 experience! The owner welcomed us with warmth and friendliness that instantly made us feel at home. He generously shared the story behind his restaurant and the care that goes into each dish. As I stepped inside, the first thing that captured my attention was how clean and bright the restaurant was—it was inviting in the best possible way. The complimentary water and coffee were such thoughtful touches, adding to the welcoming and comfortable atmosphere. I had the chicken shawarma plate and was introduced to the garlic paste (not just a sauce!), which was nothing short of amazing. The food was served hot and bursting with flavor. As the child of Caribbean parents, I can easily spot food that lacks seasoning, but this was definitely well seasoned. I would recommend this place and can’t wait to return for another meal!

I was visiting the Scarborough area to catch up with a buddy of mine to try Johnny's hamburgers, which was great. Later in the evening, as I was heading home, I wanted to grab some shawarma and noticed this place in the area. I looked at the reviews and was shocked at an almost perfect review score, so I decided to give it a try. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by the owner who was very friendly and hospitable. He shared the story of Shawarmas, how his place was different, and how they take the extra time to clean and cook better than other places. The restaurant was super clean. The owner also gave me free water and coffee, which was a nice treat. As for the shawarma, it was great. The wrap was very fresh and had a good taste and a good amount of meat. I want to come back, and I appreciate the outstanding service!

Me and my gf went for falafel tonight for the first time and it was the best falafel i have tried. Sammy served us with a great attitude and warm welcome. He explained how he made the falafel fresh every day and the taste really expressed the quality. They have good toppings and u can get different breads. We got two wraps for 15 bucks and it also comes with waters. The store is clean and everyone there was very friendly. I will be going there more often to try other meals as well as i am sure they will also be tasty. I recommend this to everyone and i hope u have the same experience we had. 5 star for sure

Picked up a few shawarmas and it was very good. The chicken was real and not dry and crispy like other places. The salads were fresh and so was the rice. The owner was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. It felt so nice and warm, like back home where people are very friendly and social. The reason I didn't give the food 5 stars is because the quantity was a little less than usual. I would have liked the fries and rice to be more. The meat portion was ok. Would go back for sure.

Unusual to get such high quality food and excellent service in a strip mall. Food is top shelf. Tabouleh and Fattoush are made to order, delivering absolute freshness of flavour and textures. Chicken Shawarma is a standout! Spiced beautifully but most impressive is high quality of meat. Sevice is 5 stars++! Sarmen treats each customer as if we were a guest in his home. His joy in having you visit makes for memorable and very personal experience every single time! Make this a neighborhood must and also well worth the Trio from further afield.

First time visiting. It was a beyond great experience, the owner is very generous, kind and warm. I felt like I’m home. He took the time to explain how proper shawarma is made. All other places stuff it with salads and a small bit of meat, but in Mayyas both chicken and beef are full of delicious juicy meat! Prices are very reasonable for all menu choices.
Home made hummus tastes delicious! Lahmajin and cheese manakish are to die for. We also tried Burek and very yummy (the cheese one specially).
We also tried Kebbeh which is a hard to make dish, but here it is really tasty and authentic.

I should mention that before even eating, the hospitality won us over. They value customers and that is very rare in a big city like Toronto. We will surely be regulars here. Thank you for the amazing food and service.

Great find on a Sunday afternoon! I had an appointment nearby and was going to do grocery.
I entered the wrong parking entrance and saw Mayyas Express. The owner was very friendly, inviting, and provided me some knowledge about authentic Lebanese shawarma. Mashallah!
Mixed shawarma was flavourful and very big portion. I had it for lunch and dinner. Will be back soon and will recommend to friends and family.

Best shawarma in the area for sure. Meat tastes really good so they don’t need to cover it with tons of garlic sauce like most places do. Great selection of rice and breads too!
