This restaurant was recommended by a local. We said well the shopping centre doesn’t look so good but let’s try it anyways. Oh my God, we were so wrong. This was one of the best sushi we’ve had in a very long time. The fish was so fresh and everything was presented with perfection. It is really in an area that doesn’t sound like a top-notch sushi place, but oh my God was it worth it. Everything was amazing. We had many different dishes, and not a single one had anything negative about it.
Ceviche tacos were fantastic, the octopus salad was very tasty - and the main courses, we all ordered different rolls and bentos, was all very fresh and tender.
The food was average. The seafood was fresh, but only the ice cream and matcha cake were truly amazing. The green tea was really not okay. It lacked flavor, but it wouldn't make me particularly want to come back.

I wouldn't go back, I couldn't find anything that I wanted there
Whatever we ordered was amazing, mango sauce was a bliss! But to many spicy items on the menu—was hard to choose if you're not a friend with the hot stuff. The atmosphere was quite nice.

Sushi, sashimi and hot dishes were all very good. Generous portions, especially the bento box. Service was excellent. The only thing we didn’t love was the aioli that was served with the tempura instead of the traditional dipping sauce or salt & pepper. Next time, I will ask for the aioli on the side or alternative.

This restaurant is absolutely phenomenal! If you are looking for authentic Japanese food with a North American spin in Scarborough, you need to visit Nakamori. The jerk chicken karaage really caught me off guard as it was めちゃおいしい (very delicious)! The decor of the restaurant was really nice and gave good ambience to dining in. If you looking for something sweet to finish off the meal, I also recommend the rum raisin ice cream. The staff are kind, welcoming and really bring forth the Japanese service experience. ごちそうさまでした!

One of my favorite restaurants! The ingredients are incredibly fresh and the food always delicious
The place is cozy and very clean, with a warm atmosphere. I love the tatami seating, which makes it feel very authentic
The staff are extremely friendly and attentive. The even have some Japanese beers I've never seen anywhere else, which i really enjoyed
The only thing to note is that their opening hours are quite short, so it's best to check before you go . Highly recommend!

I came with my husband for lunch. I like that the menu isn't extensive - they have a good variety of things, but they are unique from other sushi restaurants. We tried some of their homemade ice cream as well, and it was an unexpected treat!

I tried this Japanese spot recently – the sushi is decent and holds up to authentic standards, nothing mind-blowing but solid. The vibe inside is actually really nice and feels legit Japanese. But the lobster ramen? Total letdown, way off and I couldn't even finish it. Service was a mess too – they handed me a cup and plate still covered in debris from the last customer, straight-up disgusting. Then the waitress starts clearing my table and shoving the bill at me while I'm literally still eating. Prices are 30-40% higher than average Japanese places around Toronto, and for that markup it's just not worth it. Save your money and head downtown, North York or Markham instead – way better quality food and service there.

I got this delivered, and for the price you pay…this was an absolute disappointment. The presentation was very messy and soggy, and SMALL. Total rip off. I get better presentation from gas station sushi. Don’t know how this place is getting hyped up so much.
