No atmosphere because it's a takeout place... :D
I always go here when I have a craving for a vietnamese sandwich.
It satisfies that craving when you need it, but they are inconsistent. Small meat portions too
Best Vietnamese Sandwiches in GTA
Quick service, decently cheap eats, large variety of food selections. You get cold cut banh mi, to prepackaged noodles, and deep fried spring rolls.
They seem to not have customer service in stock most of the time, but you get what you paid for. Go in, order your banh mi and leave. Their communication in the back is not the best so it is best to double check your order.
Everything did go up in price over the years but the food is still decent for the price.
We decided, on a lark, to have a celebratory, multi-banh-mi meal as a family - everyone was quite excited. Haven’t had them in a while, and it’s been years since we went to this location as it’s more than a little out of our way. We reviewed the options on their website, so many excellent choices. Arriving at the store we placed our order, had it confirmed back to us, waited for them to be prepared and left. However, in unpacking the sandwiches when we got home 4 of the 8 were the wrong sandwiches, and completely inedible for the members of the family that we had ordered them for. In calling up the store to seek to sort things out, we were met with an unhelpful, demeaning and ultimately fruitless approach to customer service that we’d never experienced before (and we’ve experienced the spectrum). In confirming the information on their website, which was exactly as we had ordered from, and completely correct from what we could glean, we were told that no, in fact the menu number items were different (with no explanation as to how or why, or any solutions offered) and essentially told to go pound sand. What had started as a fun evening enjoying some of our favourite food, turned into frustration, confusion, short tempers and us scrambling to save what was to have been a fun evening by scrounging what we could from our pantry. Never mind the money spent, as well as the time. The. Worst. Just a heads up, this would be one to avoid as there are plenty of other fish in the sea which probably take the concept of getting it right and customer service much more seriously than these jokers. In fact, given the level of sadness we experienced, on a number of levels, you’d probably be hard-pressed to find a worse example. And just in case, should you think this a negative spam review due to the harshness of the review in contrast to my generally positive, but realistic, reviews, please refer to the pictures as proof of our purchase and experience with this particular location.
Like a lot of people, we have been coming since they opened and their dt location prior to that.
A lot of people have lately shift to a new banh mi store, and made a lot of false claims of nguyen huong that have served us over decades.
1. They claim this place put only little bit of pate, false. My recent purchase of the basic cold cut banh mi from here, lots of pate especially the last bite. The new place gives only little and it was tasteless.
2. Garnishes, they stuffed it here. The new place, barely any. And what's more interesting, the new place's veggies are all tasteless. How do they manage to do that?
3. The bun itself smells and tastes so good here. The new place, chewy and tasteless, just long... quality vs quantity.
4. Attitude. No way people, I have been coming here since they first opened. The ladies here are so friendly and I feel welcome like a friend, never have I experienced attitude, even I come 2 minutes before they closed. They might be loud and direct but I find the way they talk are actually like cartoon. (Lol)
Yes, this place's more msg but bearable, also tastes 100 times better and cheaper too.
Love nguyen huong
Gave old sandwich with expired ingredients or from morning gave two and were aware of it no apoooguse nothing instead argued worst customer service ever
Always Good and Nice !
Been going to the downtown location for over 25years and this location for about 8 ish years and the bhan mi is awful now. The buns are half the size, flavour and quality of meats and condiments are disgusting I had to throw the last batch of sandwiches in the garbage it was so inedible. Not to mention the price has more than quadrupled! If the quality stayed the same I'd probably still buy it but i do not recommend them anymore, don't waste your money here.
Delicious, fast service, good price!

Honestly the banh mi here isn't so good. I'd prefer the Jane shepherd one rather.
My favourite location. They make the best and freshest sandwiches. I always add extra patè, extra spicy and the bacon. 😍 Along with other classics. Their minced pork rice rolls with fish sauce and the coconut milk tapioca and banana desserts too. !
The worse place ever to get Banh Mi.
If you’re looking for an authentic Vietnamese Banh Mi, go somewhere else. There are a couple other banh mi joints in Scarborough that are far superior. These are the most bland, flavorless subs I’ve ever had. The pate isn’t tasty and the ingredients are just mediocre. The bread is also way too thick and never taste fresh. The only good thing about this place are the snacks and sweet soups they have.
Best sandwiches for the best price
Great bahn mi spot with big selection of items
