First time at a sushi restaurant and no green tea. Got the sushi tuna torched combo and honestly was not that great. They put a sauce on top that just ruined it for me they also over torched the fish and tasted like well done. Washroom was dirty didn’t look like it was cleaned in days. Won’t be coming back

This used to be one of my favourite sushi places but sadly, things have gone downhill. I was there today for lunch and I experienced a few issues. We spent $152 including tax and tip to give some context. We ordered edamame, lunch bento box (chicken teriyaki and beef teriyaki, two special rolls plus a pressed torched four piece roll and tempura and gyoza, plus green tea and a soft drink. The tempura and edamame and miso soup were good. Sadly, the rest were disappointing. The chicken teriyaki was very dry, the beef was very fatty and the gyoza batter was dry, too. The sushi fell apart as soon as I tried to pick it up with my chopsticks (and I'm no beginner), and everything just tasted sub par. Also, the salad that came with the bento box was just iceberg lettuce and dressing, no tomato, no cucumber, no carrot, nothing else. I'm not sure if it's a different owner than when I last came 1-2 years ago but I was hoping for a delicious lunch and sadly I left very disappointed and I won't be returning.

I ordered the salmon teriyaki bento box and confirmed what it comes with, I was informed it came with rice, avocado rolls, goyza, soup and salad for $16+ tax. I received my food and went back to the car only to discover I didn't get the goyza, which was one of the reasons I decided to come here for lunch to begin with. I spoke with the cashier who then told me maybe she made a mistake and it doesn't come with it, but I told her I've received it in the past. The chef then informs me that you only get it for Dine in, which is not mentioned anywhere, but he stated he will still honour it as complimentary. I thought that was nice of him and decided I would also order 6pieces of goyza along with it for my son, only to receive it without the goyza that was promised, which was a bit disappointing. Overall the food was okay, nothing I would make the, long trip for like I did today.

I really hate to give this place two stars because the flavour of the sushi was actually quite good, but the service was atrocious and the presentation was just as bad. I've never had a handroll that fell apart upon the first bite. I was given a jug of water without a glass, a hand roll without a plate or soy sauce. It was not as if the place was busy...there were only two tables seated in the entire restaurant. Considering the number of sushi options in the area I would not consider coming back.
This sushi spot is truly a hidden gem! Every visit has been a consistently outstanding experience. The staff is warm and welcoming, and the quality of the food is exceptional — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Highly recommend to anyone looking for top-notch sushi in a cozy setting.
