I purchased onion buns got home was making sandwitch bun are a few days old nice of them to sell the buns as fresh. Nobody wants two day old buns that sat in a plastic bag. Your a bakery everything is supposed to be baked and sold same day

Was short changed $5. When brought up with cashier was accused of pocketing the $5 - she was on to my elaborate scheme. Disgusting customer service or dumbest owners in the world. Double check when you get cash from these folks.

Went around 1pm on a Saturday and looked like food had been sitting out for a while. Mostly curious and wanted a snack.Got the bbq pork bun and the cheese/spinach pastry. When asked if I wanted it heated, it would have gone in the microwave. The pork bun had minimal filling and flavour. The flakey pastry was only slightly better.

Some nice items for a quick snack while at the mall and even some fresh breads to take home. Decent Patties and Spring Rolls are my go to’s ??

When I was a kid, I used to live close to the area and would often frequent the mall for doctor's appointments and such. I no longer live close to the area. The family running the store, back then, were husband, wife, daughter and son. The daughter and son were teenagers back then, I think.I have a faint recollection of trying the bakery offerings from this store, so I can't comment on quality, as I don't remember. What really stands out is how friendly the family running the store, was, to myself and my parents. Nothing too over the top, just a simple hand raise from a distance and sometimes a conversation with my parents.Even now, as an adult, that stood out to me. Hence, why I, on a whim, decided to see the store was still running, after all these years. I was so happy to see that they are still in business! I wish them all well and much success.

People working there (mother, daughter) seems really nice. Got a small cake there and it was good. Prices for baked goods cost a little more than at the bakery at the Metro supermarket in the same mall. I may go back because some stuff looks pretty good. I know Open Window is chain bakery which is why i'm guessing it cost a little more compared to other neighborhood bakeries, i think they should just open a independent bakery and save on the franchise fee because i don't think the name is bringing in the customers. If it's a good product at reasonable price, with friendly staff, people will come.

2 bucks for a beef patty is way too much. I really want to like this place but sometimes the prices are hard to swallow. Especially if I know I can find these items for 50 cents cheaper down the road.

This is not a review - its a request for information about Open Window product. I have not visited the store on Ellesmere Rd., but intend to obtain a sample of their product somehow. Anyone: For many years I bought Open Window rye bread and after I moved from Toronto, I used to bring back several loaves for the freezer whenever I visited. Now the original bakery is gone and I hardly ever visit Toronto. Except, a few years ago, but later than 2011, for one year, our local Valumart, a subsidiary of Loblaws, sold store-baked (from frozen) rye bread, both with and without caraway seeds that looked and tasted just like the real Open Window product. Then they stopped selling it, possibly because I was their only customer. So, does anyone know where Loblaws got their frozen product and does that source still exist?
