I recently visited Premium Sweets with a group of 15 people. To start on a positive note, the service was excellent — the servers were very attentive, polite, and accommodating to our group’s needs. They really did a great job on their end.
Unfortunately, the food was disappointing. The kala bhuna was extremely salty, and the other dishes we ordered did not meet the standard that Premium Sweets used to have. No matter how good the service is, at the end of the day, people come for the food — and this time it was below par.
Another issue we faced was with the billing. A 15% service charge was already included in the bill, but this was never mentioned to us. As a result, we ended up paying an additional 15–20% in tips on top of the service charge. This felt very dishonest and left a bad impression.
Overall, while the staff were great, the food quality and lack of transparency in billing made this a disappointing experience. I hope the restaurant addresses these issues, because service alone can’t make up for poor food and unclear practices.

Usually, their sweets taste good. This time I bought some sweets and new products that looked good but I had never tried before. Sadly, these new products are not good at all—a big waste. Especially the green one, which is not edible, very hard, and tastes like playdough with sugar. I recommend not buying them.

Best Bengali sweets available here. Staff was very accommodating and helped me choose from the huge variety displayed. They allowed me to taste as well before buying. 👍 My friends and family loved the kaju katli, nadia sondesh, kaju and mahva rolls. I had once tried similar tasting Yogurt in Calcutta and was very pleased to find it here. Awesome place! Worth visiting.
Horrible experience. The portions of the food has gotten SO small, the food is absolutely not worth the money you are paying. The portion sizes are a joke- even the size of the rice bowls is diabolical, absolutely below the standard for any Bengali restaurant. For being a Bengali restaurant there is no Bengali staff? our food was constantly missing pieces, we ordered the curry plate and the server forgot multiple portions of our order. The staff do not listen to you, they’re forgetful, and we had to ask multiple times to simply get our full order. Used to be my family’s favourite restaurant once upon a time a few years back, such a shame. Will not return again.

Very sad and disappointing to say but food quantity and taste has declined a lot. The fuchka, chotpoti, papri chaat & samosa did not taste good at all. Neither did the walima roast and tehari which we ordered later. Overall, not the experience we were hoping for and will not be returning.
