I got the chicken shawarma plate it was actually fire. The meat was juicy, smoky, and seasoned perfectly. The saj bread? Unreal. You can taste the difference when it’s made fresh. The pomegranate molasses adds that sweet-tangy twist in. I highly recommend this place

I recently tried their shawarma platter — the taste was okay, nothing to complain about. I was really impressed with the quantity and quality though! With four of us sharing, we actually struggled to finish it — definitely worth the money.

The place was super busy, and we had to stand for quite a while. It’s quite small for dine-in, so I’d recommend ordering through Uber Eats or online instead.

Sumac on Lawrence is an amazing spot for fresh, flavorful Middle Eastern food. Everything is made fresh, even the bread, which makes a huge difference in taste and quality. The charcoal kabob wrap is my favorite—it’s perfectly grilled, juicy, and packed with flavor. The staff are always friendly, and the food comes out hot and fast. It’s one of those places you can visit often and never get tired of.
