Finally made up up to get a smoked meat sandwich. I’d heard very good things. And all were true. Absolutely delicious. And the fries were perfection too…but that sandwich 🤤
SumiLicious didn’t live up to the hype or its place on the Michelin Guide. The food was extremely underwhelming—definitely not worth the high price for the portion sizes. The brisket was dry, tasting like something you’d get at a grocery store rather than a “house-made” specialty. The $15 poutine was a joke, with less than a quarter of the meat they put on a sandwich, and the gravy was watered down and overly spiced, like they just dumped in too much chili powder to cover it up. They clearly don’t care about the little details—our sandwich even had mismatched bread sizes. The worst part was that they tried to make us buy drinks by not letting us drink our own water! The service rushed us through ordering even though the place was empty. At this rate, I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re gone soon.

The turkey sandwich was over $10 and it was so tiny, its basically a slider. Everything was store bought, the bread, pickles, turkey. Service was not at all friendly

The hype is worth it! I highly recommend getting the medium fat as it was so juicy and tasty. The lean was good but definitely a lot dryer.

Food is great but the lacks the soul of a deli. First off the food was great, strong smoked meat sandwich you can tell they are influenced by MTL Swartz's. But as someone who frequents deli's, they lack the soul and feel. White tiles, random tables, and furniture. Adding in in-seat ordering would also help. If you look at some of the premier deli's they have a character and worth. If they can get this right they will become a true 5-star experience.
