I stopped by for a smoked deli sandwich and it did not disappoint—packed with flavor and definitely worth ordering again. The staff were super friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. I also tried the chicken sandwich; it was alright, but I realized it’s not really the item to go for here—the smoked deli is the star. Overall, a great spot with great people, and I’ll be back for the deli sandwich for sure.

A hot dog stand at Nathan Phillips Square is way better.

I honestly don’t understand how Sumilicious earned a Michelin mention. The food is extremely underwhelming and nowhere near worth the price they charge. The smoked meat was dry, lacking flavor, and tasted more like something mass-produced than carefully crafted. Portions were ok, and the quality didn’t justify the inflated cost.

What makes it worse is the hype — you walk in expecting a standout experience because of the Michelin recognition, but instead you leave wondering if they even tried that day. Overpriced, underwhelming, and not even close to the level of authentic smoked meat spots in the city.

If this is what Michelin considers recommendation-worthy, it seriously makes me question their standards. Definitely not worth the money or the trip.

The smoke beef sandwich was good, but the extra from the combo can be skipped, especially the “spoonful” coleslaw and the pickle.

We ordered to go. The menu is focused and the cashier was incredibly nice and walked us through what they offered. The smoked meat is incredible. Flavorful and tender, I was astounded. This is a high-price point, but it felt worth it.

On par with Schwartz’s Montreal smoked meat!! This was fantastic, flavourful, and tender. Leaps and bounds better than Costco’s sandwich.
