My go to place for getting last minute roti, chapati for past 20 years. They have reduced hours now (2024) but no change in quality. Don't leave voicemail, call during their working hours and you will be taken care off.. Large orders require advance booking. 3-5 pack can be picked up at moments notice. Always fresh/hot. ---------------Positives---------------The first thing you will notice as you enter this small take out only shop is, the aroma of freshly made Chappati. It reminds us of back home when our moms made Chappatis.Suraj is take out only vegetarian restaurant that sells variety of Chappatis and parathas (see the menu prices photos). Chappatis come in ziplock type package of 10.The quality of Chappatis is very good..not oily, not half cooked like some other restaurants' and does...
We drive from Oakville to Scarborough to get chapatis from here in bulk(200-300). We place the orders in advance. Suraj Kitchen never disappoints - chapatis are always fresh and ready for pickup on time as promised, packed in ziploc bags of 10 each. This makes for easy storage in the freezer. All you need is to pop it in the microwave for 30 seconds - chapatis taste absolutely fresh!
