Very low key and quiet spot, but the food is nice and fresh. There were a couple of items not available, though.

I've been eating Dim Sum my whole life and have had it in 4 different countries. This is my favourite Dim Sum

Nice homey dimsum place. Food was pretty good considering the price. The restaurant itself is a bit worn down.

Food was amazing!!

Overall dim sum flavour is not so good, rather bland. Worst is hotpot rice. Seems the toppings are not cooked with the rice and just presented in a pot and chicken is gamey

Tak Fu Dim Sum Emperor is my favourite Dim Sum place in GTA. This place is very nostalgic to me since the dim sum here taste like what I used to have all the time in Hong Kong when I was a kid 30+ years ago. The restaurant sign is faded, small/cramped inside, no fancy renovation or decoration and it's usually 1 server so don't expect stellar customer service but if your looking for OG HK style dim sum, this is the place.

The food was hot and very fair. The steamed rice rolls were a little too thick for my liking, however, there was plenty of beef. We enjoyed the tripe and curry squid the most. The chicken feet, deep fried shrimp balls, and squid tentacles were mid-range. The service was attentive and they provided chilli sauce when asked. We were a group of 5 and had 9 dishes. It was the perfect amount. With 15% tip, we paid $108 cash.

Service is always accommodated to seniors without the crazy line up like other establishments ... Price level is mid range for weekend dim sum market price point. Food & quality aligned with the newer price.

Cheong fun only had 1 small shrimp in each roll lol

The dimsum is done on the spot. May the difference.
I had 燉雙皮奶, takes more than half an hour.

I used to love this place but then I don’t blame them on the increasing pricing since covid.

We had BBQ pork buns, not as good as it used to be, its doughy soggy, doesn’t have the hint of sweetness, nor the bbq pork inside has the juiciness, more on the dry side. Little dissappointing, won’t comeback maybe as a last resort.
Some other dimsums are pretty good still.
Like the beancurd wrap, rice rolls, “Ha-Gow” Tak fu Shrimp Dumplings, “Ham sui Kok” [I apologize that I don’t know the english name of this dimsum] are humongous and delicious.

It was during the CNY days, so we tried the radish cake too…. Definitely not their specialty or my personal taste still more tuned on my families homemade recipes 🫢 things like these everyone have their own preferences, I would prefer a little more ingredients, solidness and definitely RADISH.

Generally, it wasn’t bad.

We’ve been coming here since 2018.

Little sad it wasn’t what it used to be but good memories and time were spent here afterall 💕

Pricing on the more expensive side now, for the same value I can have even better dimsum at other places I’ve been to!

The place is small compared to the other dim sum places but food is GOOD and service is FAST. Small menu but has all the classics that you need 😋 they’ve been in the neighborhood for 19 years and make all of their dim sums in house.
