This is by hands-down my favourite bakery in the city. I love all their buns, pastries, baguettes, cookies, and all the delectable delights they have to offer. The owner and staff are extremely pleasant and helpful. They have a large variety of options. They’re known for their Banh Mi’s (and they have sooo many scrumptious options - just check out their instagram). This bakery offers something that is hard to find in other bakeries, which is flavour: it’s orgasmic!

A small Vietnamese-Chinese bakery. I came around 10:30am on a Saturday but very few items were baked yet (even thiugh they open at 9:30am). So I suggest coming later around noon as most items would ve ready by then. They offer banh mi to order. And they’re the thinner longer baguettes like in Vietnam. They don’t give a lot of filling though but overall s’alright. They range about $5-$8. They also have hot steamed buns I saw. I didn’t buy any fresh buns but grabbed one of their “day old” mixed bags. Each bag has about 20 buns for $10. That’s a pretty good deal. Their buns (from the day old bag I bought) were okay. I didn’t find them outstanding or bad. They were a day old and squished a bit but 50¢ a piece you can’t really go wrong.

I remember when I was a kid, my parents would always get our birthday cakes from Tung Hing in Chinatown so I was very excited when I found this bakery in Scarborough. The staff there was so helpful and friendly! I wanted two last minute birthday cakes - one mixed fruit cake for my dad and one chocolate cake for my brother. She was able to help me come up with some designs and fit me in for pickup the next day. I am so happy with how both of the cakes came out. On top of looking perfect, they tasted great — not too sweet, very moist. I highly recommend. They don’t seem to advertise their cakes, but they really should! They make great cakes. Also got some coconut durian buns fresh out of the oven which were equally delicious.

Something was off about this place, really wanted to like their Banh Mi’s as they had lots of choices and heard great reviews. Got the lemongrass pork and it was dry without any lemongrass flavour. We also tried the Saigon Special which was a bit better but both had this very disgusting wet wash towel scent to it. I’m sure others have had great experiences but I Wouldn’t recommend.

Great family run bakery.
I’ve been eating their buns for 20+ years since their old store in downtown Chinatown, to the past few years after moving out and finding they had a Scarborough store nearby.
No other bakery I’ve tried has been better imo.
Friendly owners, great food, hidden gems of new menu items…my favourite bakery!

This is only for the Bahn Mi. There was generous amout of meat but the pate and ghee was not spread out evenly throughout the bun, some parts was light in flavor or too dry.

Bun 10/10
Meat 8/10 some part were dry when compared to others
Veggitable 7 fresh, but I like more cilantro and other veggies

Repeat- yes but only if im the area.

I was so happy to find good quality banh mi right around the corner from my house.

The bread was fresh with a great texture. The fillings were tasty.

Made-to-order banh mi starting at $4.50, but the ones I got were $5.25 (no tax). I got the Saigon Special and Honey Garlic BBQ pork.

I'll definitely come back to try some other flavours. The owners were super nice and helpful with suggestions. Recommended!
