Very good service great food

I’m leaving this review to warn others and to document serious concerns regarding both deceptive pricing practices and food safety issues.

First, the drink menu pricing did not match what we were charged. The menu clearly lists cocktails and martinis at approximately $6.19 and $9.73, yet we were charged $12.39 per drink—33-50% above the advertised price. When we brought this discrepancy to staff’s attention, we were told that the prices had changed four years ago and that the menu was “only there to show ingredients.”

That explanation is unacceptable. Nowhere on the menu does it state that the listed prices are outdated or for ingredient reference only, nor were we informed of this before ordering. Consumers are entitled to accurate pricing information, and failing to honour advertised menu prices is misleading and, in my view, a violation of consumer protection laws. I will be filing a complaint with Consumer Protection Ontario regarding these deceptive pricing practices.

Even more disturbing, there was a bug frozen directly into one of the ice cubes served in our drink. This is a serious sanitation concern and completely unacceptable for any food establishment. A complaint regarding this issue will also be submitted to Toronto Public Health, as food safety standards clearly need to be reviewed.

Transparency, honesty, and cleanliness are the bare minimum customers should expect. Unfortunately, this establishment failed on all three.

It is especially disappointing that management appeared more willing to nickel-and-dime customers who were genuinely trying to support their business than to simply honour the pricing they chose to advertise. Businesses should stand behind what they present to their customers, not shift responsibility when called out.

I would strongly caution others to review their bills carefully and inspect their food and drinks before consuming anything here.

Paid a hundred dollars for food and they refused to give me pepper sauce unless i paid for it. Only place that does this. Not buying here anymore.

I would like to give the BIGGEST shoutout to my server from last weekend, Waynette. On May 2nd there was a live band that was scheduled to play at 5pm, so I booked a big reservation to celebrate my mom’s milestone 65th birthday as a surprise. A few of my guests arrive at my scheduled reservation time of 4pm (before me) and were told there was nothing for us available so they contacted me right away. I called the restaurant while I was on the way there to find out what was going on, they said “you had booked to see the band and it was advertised on social media that they are delayed until 7pm”. I don’t follow you on social media so how would I have known? but that’s besides the point. I had 20 people on the way for the surprise regardless if the band was delayed or not, and not one person from the restaurant called me to tell me things have changed, and they were actually booked for a private event at that time. They had my phone number and name for the reservation, so there was no reason why I shouldn’t have been contacted. I literally made and confirmed my reservation only 5 days prior to the event and everything was good to go. They ended up telling me “we spoke to the manager on duty, so we’ll keep you on the bar side for now until the other event is cleared up and will move you over afterwards”. I arrived VERY upset. They stuck us on the bar side with 2 long tables that weren’t together so I had to have my group sprawled separately. We also had to be somewhat quiet and limited in our mingling since there was a huge private birthday event taking up the main space, and we didn’t want to intrude or interrupt even though we didn’t know it was happening. We couldn’t play music or vibe the way we wanted too, and it was just a horrible experience. It ruined the dynamic because the entire point of booking at this location for that date was for the band, and having my mom have a good night dancing with her close friends and family. If I had been called and told things changed instead of “we advertised it”, I could’ve made other arrangements, or told my guests to come later instead of us just sitting around for hours. If it wasn’t for Waynette, we definitely wouldn’t of had a decent night. She immediately elevated the mood, took care of my guests, and accommodated/helped me in every and any way she could. Always checking up, helping me choose things to order for my group, and her personality in general is just amazing. If she isn’t a supervisor or manager at this point, please promote her with a raise because she truly deserves to be recognized for her efforts on how to de-escalade a situation, and handle things with care. I know in the future not to book here anymore for any events seeing how I spent a lot of money on something I didn’t even want to happen, but would only ever come back because of her! Thank you Waynette for saving the day, we ended up having a good time because of you!! I do not wish to be contacted about this situation since it’s already over and I already spent a lot of money that night. The point of this review is to bring awareness to the situation so you know for next time to please not tell your customers “but it was advertised”, and contact them accordingly PROPERLY in the future to avoid things like this.

Ordered Twilight special chicken fried rice along with fried chicken and pepper shrimp. Meal was hot, fresh and delicious. Pepper Sauce was boss. Repeat customer here!

EXCELLENT Venue! Was Nice Seeing Good Friends As Anil, Rex, Sushma And Others As Well.... For Certain, You MUST Enjoy Their Seafood Fried Rice With Family & Friends.... One Of Scarborough's Finest Locales.....

The food is ok usually but I don't have a favorite dish yet. Recently tried their lo mein but it was too wet, practically felt like i was eating a chunky veg ramen soup. The mixed veg, rice, chicken wings were fine, wontons need more meat in it. Will update another time, when I try other dishes

They have a great lunch. Special chicken fried rice and their homemade hot sauce is absolutely marvelous. I recommend it to everybody.

Over priced on Domestic beer very rude. Mandatory cost check for 5 dollars witch is crazy.. Will never be back!!!
