Disappointed with the presentation of foods on display. Looked very unorganized. Some foods were not looking good for the reputation they so call have. Service very average too…won’t be returning, good luck to them

I picked up a large variety of items from Zain’s Bakery on Kennedy Rd, and the experience was great from start to finish. Aruna helped me with everything—she was polite, genuinely cheerful, and packed all the food carefully so nothing leaked. She even offered methi roti and a samosa to sample, which really helped me decide what to buy. That kind of service matters.
The chicken and veg samosas were excellent—very flavorful, generously sized, and made with thin pastry, the kind East African Indians truly appreciate. We also tried the mandazi, bharazi saag, badam pak, and naan khatai, and all of them were really good.
The chicken pilau and beef mogo came in big portions. While both could have used more meat, the pilau was tasty and satisfying overall.
My family really enjoyed the food—the taste, portions, and pricing were all on point. And honestly, Aruna’s warm service with a smile made the whole experience even better. Definitely worth a visit.

For last couple of years this place is run by a casual worker who use to work for the old owner.
The above worker is Aruna Ben. Maybe she is a part owner with her husband.
Arena Ben doesn't know how important the customer is in her business. She even doesn't know what is a customer.
A year a ago l told her about an error of $2 on the receipt. Since then she is rude to me.
On Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 l gave a order for two dozen of chicken and veggies samosa to be picked up on Saturday, July 26th 2025 afternoon.
On the day of the pick up all the samosas were not ready. Apart from that she gives me oily samosas. She doesn't have time nor care to allow oil to drip away by using wire rack. It's easy to absorb oil and to remove excess oil after the samosas are fired.
Other restaurant won't give oily food. When l tell her she gives me an attitude.
One day her husband told me people like oily samosas. Apparently most of the reviews are regarding oily samosas.
God bless them.

This place has terrible customer service and extremely rude staff. It’s clear they don’t value their customers, so you might as well take your business somewhere that appreciates you and makes an effort to provide good service.

Customer waiting too long only 1 lady behind counter, other staff joking at in kitchen.
We ordered a dozen of chicken samosas and a dozen of beef samosas. Never again! Very disappointed - the pastry is raw inside in spite of grilling them at low heat at home and more onions than meat. Very disappointing!

I had a very disappointing experience with Zain Bakery. I had pre-ordered samosas over the phone, but when I arrived to pick them up they were served cold. After bringing them home, they had already gone bad and unfortunately had to be thrown away. When I called to follow up, I received inconsistent information about when they were made, and there was no effort to accommodate or offer any form of compensation. This was very unprofessional and not the level of service I expected.
Good value for your money. Good home cooked food, no package masala. Daily specials. Best roti and methi paratha in town.

Awesome rotis & paratha. Bought 15 packs to share and bring it home to Calgary. Best rotis in Canada in my opinion. Fresh mango achar is best ever, reminded me of my mom’s achar.

I recently got roti from this bakery, and I absolutely loved it! It was incredibly soft—honestly, the best roti I’ve ever had. The customer service was just as impressive. Everyone was so polite and welcoming. I’m definitely planning to try more of their food soon. I highly recommend this place 100%—just go and try it for yourself. You’re going to love it!
