Lions and Sun Bar and Lounge

Not too sure how I feel. Their prices for a whisky sour are a bit excessive, compared to other bars around the area. A girl sat behind the bar chatting guys up and didn’t seem to be too interested in going out on the floor to address customers at the tables. The food is okay. Grayson is the only staff they have that actually does a great job. I feel like this place would do better with more experienced staff and cheaper prices.

We celebrated my friends’ birthday at Lions and Sun Bar and Lounge during their very first drag show. The Hause of Devereaux, as always, totally lit up the room and had everyone engaged and partying!

The food was comforting bar favourites, the staff handled a busy venue with precision and ease, and the atmosphere was great.

My friends and I are hoping to return for their karaoke nights sometime soon!

First time at this place last night, what a fun and beautiful atmosphere. We went to support our friend’s drag event celebrating Carmen Del Rae’s birthday 🎉 I ordered a Long Island Ice Tea (our server rhymed off some drinks they make). My drink tasted and looked like a vodka coke… so i went up to the bartender just to explain that I thought it would taste different and the bartender took it personally. There was a miscommunication and she thought I was complaining about the lack of alcohol… I was not. She then pours two shots into my drink then a shot of vodka and slides it in front of me in a condescending fashion (which then confirmed that she didn’t know the recipe of a Long Island). I was taken a back when we went out for a smoke and the server and the bartender both assumed we were leaving without paying. We both laughed since we were talking with the hosts of the event and couldn’t believe the unprofessionalism. Do better ladies

Here is the recipe for a Long Island Ice Tea 🍹

½ fluid ounce vodka
½ fluid ounce rum
½ fluid ounce gin
½ fluid ounce tequila
½ fluid ounce triple sec (orange-flavored liqueur)
1 fluid ounce sweet and sour mix
1 fluid ounce cola, or to taste
1 lemon slice

We had an event for our daughter in the party room at Lions and Sun and we are over the moon happy with how everything turned out. Anna and her staff were amazing! From the moment we set up to take down, Anna was accommodating and helpful. The food was excellent!! We will definitely be hosting another event there!
Can’t wait to return for dinner with family!!
