What a great experience! The waiters were amazing and very attentive. The owners came over for a chat and were so kind. We came on a Saturday night and it was jazz night which we did not know. The jazz band was so good and made the experience 10x better. Although, there was a table that was very loud. I came to write a positive review and noticed that these women wrote a negative one (I believe it was Kaylee Wood, Gina Di Vizio, Jill M). This establishment is spectacular and there is nowhere in Southampton that even closely compares. Don’t listen to the bad reviews they are just very disrespectful and loud (the ones who left a negative review named above^^)

We’ve been coming to Southampton every October for 4 years now. We recently visited last weekend and it was our first time dining at Highview and we regret not coming sooner! We visited last Friday for dinner and drinks and had a great meal. The caesar salad was one of the best we’ve ever had. My husband’s steak was cooked perfectly to his liking, and I really enjoyed my ravioli dish. The pisco sour I ordered to drink was so good we went back the next night for another round of drinks. The two gentlemen serving/working the bar on both nights were awesome and super friendly. We will definitely be back every time we come back to Southampton!

With every visit, Highview strikes the perfect balance of being both upscale and comfortable.
Overall, Highview is a place where quality shines through in every detail. It’s a dining experience that feels special yet unpretentious—a place we look forward to revisiting time and again.

Called a couple of times to make a reservation and was told they don't take reservations, so my group of 15 thought we would try it and if we had to sit a separate tables that would be fine. We arrived and were told they wouldn't take us. Saturday night, we came early at 5pm and we were told they only had 2 servers and the wouldn't be able to accommodate. I assume it was the manager and he was quite rude and said they never take large groups. It would have been nice if when I called for a reservation they said they never take large groups!!!!

The Highview is an absolute gem. My wife and I, as well as our families, have had dozens of visits to The Highview and have never been disappointed. Eugene and his team go above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome. They nail the tricky task of delivering a high end dining experience while still creating a relaxing, comfortable atmosphere.
The menu changes fairly often so I won’t name specific dishes but I almost always go for a pasta dish. Their desserts are great as well. My wife gets the amarena cherry cheesecake every time.
They have by far the best selection of craft beer in the area - other restaurants and bars should take note. The cocktail program is great as well. They hit all the classics as well as offering some of their own creations. I get a negroni each visit and it’s always perfect. It’s nice to have somewhere to go and get a well crafted cocktail.

First of all, I NEVER write reviews, but felt I needed to say something. A girlfriend and I were visiting Southampton for the weekend, and stumbled across Highview for dinner on a Friday night. The patio looked really cute - which caught our eye to try the place out. We asked to sit on the patio, and that's where everything went downhill. It took about 20 minutes for our drink order to be taken, then another 20 minutes for our dinner order to be taken. Then we didn't get our food (which was just wings) for another 30 minutes. Meanwhile, the server did not pay us any attention - it seemed like we were an inconvenience. It didn't seem busy as there was no one inside, but the patio was filling up. Even a moment to tell us "so sorry for the wait, we're short staffed" or something, would've been nice. When we were done we could not get the servers attention to grab our bill. Reluctantly, we walked inside to ask to pay. We were met with hostility, like we were bothering the staff trying to pay, and then was left with a huff from whoever cashed us out as we only left a 15% tip, each. After wanting to get out of there as fast as possible I had accidentally left my retainer in a napkin. I called the restaurant, but they did not answer, so I had to drive back. I walked in and spoke to - what seemed like - the manager, and told him what happened. I was told "do you feel like digging in the garbage?", and I said "yes" as the retainer was expensive. He then escorted me to the kitchen and pointed to the trash can and with attitude said "good luck!". I asked if he had rubber gloves and he shouted "I don't have time for this!" and left. A VERY nice dishwasher kid handed me a pair of rubber gloves and moved the trash over to the hall so that I could look. Thankfully, the napkin with my retainer was basically on top and were found! I understand if a restaurant is busy, stressed out, short staffed, or WHATEVER the case may be - but you should still have service excellence in front of mind. The ONLY people that treated my friend and I with kindness and respect was the kitchen staff and the dishwasher kid. Unacceptable.

Awful experience here. Waited one hour for an appetizer which was a “antipasto board” which consisted of 70% nasty sandwich meat (literally bologna). Took another hour after the appetizer to get the main (ordered main and appetizer at the same time at the start of the meal). Food was mediocre and not worth the insane wait times.
