The Walker House is always a great place to eat. The portions are large and the food is always tasty. Hot beef is my favorite and my hubby loves the Blackened Pickerel. Their are a lot of choices on the menu as well as 5 - 6 Specials every night. Try the Carrot Cake. It is delicious! The staff are generally very good and seem to stay for a while. You can tell by that and by how busy this restaurant is that it is well run and a favorite in our community.

Excellent food and very attentive and friendly service. The Walker House has a great high end tavern ambience and is good value for dining out. Reservations are always a good idea; we were there on a Tuesday night in January and it was busy. The Open Table app made reserving quick and easy.

We both had the Friday evening Prime Rib special and it was perfectly medium rare, tender and moist. The accompanying vegetables, Yorkshire pudding and au jus were also excellent. Our server was friendly and efficient. We would highly recommend.

This is the first time we've ever had issues with our meals. Cheese missing on garlic bread, chicken sandwich dipped in wrong sauce, chicken sandwich not dipped in requested sauce and wrap not done in sauce. Simple mistakes apparently due to "rookie kitchen staff". There was bad weather and they were trying to get their staff out as soon as possible but we felt rushed by our waitress. Still picking at our plates and twice asked if we were done and attempted to remove. Just think it was a bad one off. We still tipped our regular 18% and understand these things happen , as stated, we've been coming for years and this is the first time something happened that made us unhappy so all in all, a review as requested, maybe not a good one but we still love our Walker House. Heres to the New Year and a better meal next time!

This is a go-to restaurant for myself and my family. The atmosphere is gorgeous in an older home that's been transformed into this eating establishment. The patio is perfect too. Well laid out and spacious. No review is complete without mentioning customer service. My experience with the service here is that it's always great. From the hostess through to the server they have always been kind, professional, accommodating and attentive. And the food.... It's delicious. We have yet to have anything less then a fantastic meal. The portions are big, leaving you full and the prices are great. The nice thing is that after your meal you can walk down the street to the beautiful Lake Huron shoreline. Catch one of the breathtaking Southampton sunsets. Or peruse one of the quaint local stores. There is something for everyone on the menu or try one of the daily specials. All in all you will not be disappointed by enjoying a meal here. It does get very busy and there me a wait but it's well worth it.

This place is great! We've been here multiple times over two years and every time the food is consistently good. Highly recommend checking out the specials each night, just note if you're an early eater that they only start at 5pm!
