Recently took my family to the Walker House for my daughter's first birthday. We were greeted with a hand written birthday card which was very thoughtful! The staff were all very polite and professional. We enjoyed their delicious cocktails and everyone loved their meals! Highly recommend the Walker House for any occasion.

Went on wing night. Best dry Cajun I have ever had! And I have had quite a few over my life. Side Caesar salad was also outstanding.

So, we decided on Walker House based on previous reviews. We were not disappointed. However, had reservations for a Monday at 5:45. Thought we would walk the town ahead of time to shop, unfortunately, most store were closed. So, we bellied up to the bar at 4:45 for a drink and appetizer. Got the calamari, it was o.k. Nothing to brag about, but o.k. Bartender was wonderful Went to our table at 5:45, looked at daily specials. Our friends order that days' specials (liver and onions and a chicken dish). Fifteen minutes after ordering, we were told that both specials were already sold out. (if we had know ahead of time, we would or ordered at the bar). Now they had to pick out other food. Instead of being in the same line up we were, our order now went in 25 minutes after our first order. Needless to say, we did not get our food till after 7:15. So, the food was good. Service was good, They gave us 2 free deserts since we had to wait. But moral of the story is, if you want the specials, order by 5 pm.
We visited South Hampton just for a day. Had no plans. Didn't know the town. Saw this restaurant from the street, the menus looked OK. The meal far surpassed any expectations. Our server was very nice. We ended up having a fantastic time

The restaurant itself was very nice, it was a bustling Saturday evening. Unfortunately like most restaurants the vegetarian options are lacking. I ordered a veggie burger with Greek salad, the burger was completely tasteless. The Greek salad consisted of romain lettuce, a little red onion, feta crumbles and 3 black olives. Overall my meal was disappointing. My husband ordered the steak and ceaser salad which he enjoyed.

Our meals took too long to be served and they were not warm. The pickerel dinner was overpriced and the rice lacked flavor. Our chicken parm pasta dinner was dry and the sauce was acidic.

I wanted recommendations for a restaurant for my birthday and everyone suggested The Walker House. I made a reservation as I'd heard they get quite busy which is always a good sign. We were seated right away and our server came to take our drink order quickly, and our food order once our drinks came. The wait time for food was quick and the food was absolutely amazing. The portions were great and the service was stellar. We will definitely be back!
