We came without a reservation but got a warm reception. Staff was nice to us. The adults loved the wine and my kids loved the baked goods, especially the scones!
We had an excellent visit to 13th Street, which was really the result of our host Kaleb, whose knowledgeable and good humoured presentation made for a truly extraordinary visit. The entire venue is extraordinary (there was live music during our visit), an excellent bakery and beautiful art exhibits contribute to making that a very memorable site.
Butter tart are the greatest in Ontario. Beautiful property. Enjoyed the art and bakery. But the purpose of the visit was to experience the wine & possibly purchase. We walked in for a wine tasting and were never acknowledged by either of the 2 staff working. Waited 15 minutes and left. This winery had great reviews but we were totally insulted on the service. Decided to visit Niagara on the Lake and enjoyed the Trius winery with wine tasting experience and enjoyed the excellent service. Also bought some wine.
Admission is free. The art gallery is beautiful. We had lunch outside and it was delicious. Chicken and cod sandwiches are both amazing đ. Definitely worth the drive from Toronto. đ„°
Highly recommend the butter tarts!!
Stellar visit to 13th Street Winery today. We visited the Bakery, walked the grounds and enjoyed a fabulous wine tasting!
All colleagues of the winery that we met with her happy, knowledgeable and helpful. If you haven't visited this gem of a winery yet...you need to!
Customers, no, Staff first.
Had a terribly disappointing experience here. In all honesty, we only go for the tarts, the wine isnât potable. But standing in line, a cashier gestured to two ladies standing behind me to come forward and cash out. They were staff. It took the two of them about five minutes. I was still waiting. Finally, that cashier that served the two staff members said âcan I help youâ. I said âwell, you better considering you just allowed two staff to but infront of a paying customerâ. She was thicker than the ice on a hockey rink this one. Couldnât understand the situation, couldnât even apologise. I asked her thrice for her manager and she finally pointed her out. I left my boxes of tarts and other things I was going to purchase at the cash. I spoke with the manager / she was nice and apologetic, unlike Alex who served me and couldnât even grasp that she made a mistake. I couldnât bring myself to support this business anymore. I left all my stuff at the counter and left. Not the way anyone should be treated by a high schooler.
Nice place with some of Ontario's Best wines. Bakery onsite and store with good pies and cheeses with pair with your wine. Art gallery on premise. Large outdoor patio to enjoy some wine as well. Decent amount of parking. Careful entering the initial parking lot when driving or walking. No free WiFi.
Great service by Allen today! We had a wonderful time trying a variety of wines, checking out the bakery and meandering through the art. I'll definitely be back for some live music and bistro fares.
Most wineries make 1-2 amazing wines and they're other wines are good but nothing special. Only a handfull of wineries have all of the wines they make taste amazing, 13th Street winery is one of them. The staff is very knowledgeable, they describe the wines perfectly and have lots of interesting stories to go along.
The Art Gallery is a most see. Every pieces are up for sale and let me tell you there's a lots of extremly amazing pieces of art in this gallery. The staff is very friendly, there's no pressure sale, they're just happy to talk about art with you.
The store have lots of decorations and delicious treats.
You can sit by the fire outside to enjoy your treat and a glass of wine or enjoy them inside as you wish.
This is a family friendly environment.
All of the buildings are wheelchair accessible.
We will go back in the summer to experience the outdoor vibe.

Arrived at event, no one was there to check us in. Finally gound someone to check us in. We went to the first table and they said we had to be checked in and we said we were so they asked where our "cards" were. We were not given those. We had to go back to the check in spot to get our cards. The event was from 1-4pm, staff started closing down event at 3PM. We still had more tasting and had to request food be brought back. Staff had very limited interaction with customers and not very pleasant. Being an open holiday house the cheer lacked. Overall very disappointed in my first time at the event at 13 Street winery. I would give 3 stars for food and wine.
If you would like to taste what a top-quality butter or pecan tart tastes like, this is the place! There are the best I have ever had. Order ahead and they will have them ready for you to pick up.
If you dream constantly about butter tarts falling into your mouth at every possible moment, then you should go here because they sell those and they are good.
Cleanest wheelchair friendly washroom ( or as they call it: WC) in any winery in Niagara.
Such a cute place to visit and have a meal. We ordered the burrata, arancini and focaccia pizza and everything was amazing. The arancini was easily my favourite item. I could've eaten the whole plate of 3 myself. Beyond the food, they have an amazing offering of wine, butter tarts and a beautiful art gallery on site. They also have tons of stunning sculptures on their property. Took the opportunity to walk around and explore the vineyard and check out the grapes. Would definitely recommend it if you're in St Catherines.
