Disappointing takeout. Picked up when ready and live 2 min away but was cold and meh. A large clump of cold noodles and it was too much for the broth given. Beef balls attached like a garland with gristle. I also was told I couldn’t order small size for takeout. $20 for medium pho is not worth it whether dining in or takeout. The menu online doesn’t reflect the current price. Perhaps pho isn’t meant for takeout after all.
Love the pho and the sandwiches
One of the best tasting Vietnamese restaurants in Ontario

I love the pho here. Best broth! The pad Thai is also one of my favourites, and you’re usually in and out quick. Been coming for years because of food quality. I dislike that they pre fill cups of water, the place needs a renovation.. floor is falling apart.. and prices are getting really high for rice noodles and soup broth. $15.99 for a small bowl. Also they scream and speak loudly at the counter and scream to the kitchen in Vietnamese. I don’t care if people talk in other languages, but maybe don’t scream so loud when there’s tables of people around… all and all good place tho!

Pho Dau Bo is a great spot — spacious with lots of seating, friendly and helpful staff, and most importantly, fresh and very tasty food. Every dish I tried was flavorful and well-prepared, making it a reliable choice for a casual lunch or dinner.
One thing to note is the portion size and price. Lunch dishes run around $21, but the servings are huge — easily enough for two people. If they offered a half-size portion around $14, it would be more practical, especially for a midday meal.
The only real downside is environmental. With such large portions, nearly everyone leaves with leftovers packed in plastic containers and bags, which adds unnecessary waste. A move toward smaller portions, or offering eco-friendly takeaway packaging, would make the experience even better.
Overall, Pho Dau Bo delivers delicious food in a comfortable setting, but I’d love to see some adjustments for portion size, price, and sustainability.

We were looking for something to eat before heading back to the GTA, then I came across this hidden gem. In Markham, there’s a lot of good Pho places, so I have my standard for Pho.
And I have to say - after the first sip of the soup (I got Tom Yum), I was truly amazed by its authenticity!! Then I had a bite of the spring rolls, I was debating between the hard or soft one, ended up getting the soft one and expecting it to be your normal soft spring rolls. The waiter (perhaps the son) gave us the sauce and told us to put it into the spring roll. It was AMAZING! Take a look at the picture I attached here, I have never had this type of spring rolls that has a combination of both soft and crunchy inside. It’s hard for me to explain how good this place is, definitely recommend trying this place!

This place is great. Theres a million things to order and if you’re particularly afraid of mispronouncing the meal names, you order by writing the numbers of the dishes that you want. Caution, the dishes are huge, so often the small sizes are more than enough for one person. I’d recommend the Banh Mi, as it is extremely cheap and very tasty

Lovely family run restaurant and with great service. We do often come here whenever in St. Catharine’s visiting family and food is always on par. Huge portions, great pho broth and friendly service. Will come back.

Amazing comfort food, a young kid served us, wouldn’t make eye contact and had to flag him down for water twice as he didn’t quality check us once, but no reason i wouldn’t return! 8/10 recommend!
Amazing pho! Huge proportions. Even if I order a small I'm going home with leftovers. There's spring rolls are awesome
Delicious place! We love to frequent here for a quick lunch.
Very attentive staff, it’s definitely become one of our usual places
Easily our favourite Pho/Vietnamese restaurant in St. Catharines. The food is spectacular. The atmosphere is on-brand with a lot of other pho places. Large dining area with large and small seating options.
The menu is robust. We’ve tried many different items over the years but definitely have our favourites. It’s very family friendly.
After a big meal you leave feeling good and satisfied, but not bloated and heavy. I can’t say enough about how well the food is prepared.
The turnaround time from ordering to serving is quick. It’s a great spot to sit and spend some time with those you’re with, or dip in and get a meal quick. Love it.
