Polished and cozy, lovely space. The staff is attentive and well versed in both menu and wine list, including some local vineyard knowledge. Very seasonal menu alongside some long standing classics, very nice experience.

Price point is on the expensive side but you do get good portions. The burrata was amazing. Staff were friendly accommodating.

Booked reservations and when I showed up there was a padlock on the door.

Amazing restaurant and staff!

My husband and I went to Solaia on a Wednesday night at 5:30pm. Early dining time and we had the place to ourselves. This meant attentive service and our food was fresh and piping hot. We started with the Cesar salad with fried polenta as croutons and full leaves of romaine that you cut yourself. Authentic Italian style with the a fresh twist. I also ordered an Aperol Spritz which was good but could use something new or different to set it apart from other restaurants (especially on a hot summer evening).

The homemade focaccia with asparagus and the red pepper butter satiated our appetite while we waited for each course. In hindsight we wish that we had kept some for dipping in the sauce from our pasta dishes.

Next our entrees. My husband had the gnocchi alla amatriciana and I had the braised rabbit gnocchi. The gnocchi was homemade and delicious. They weren’t too heavy and perfect size. They held the sauce nicely, and there was a perfect proportion of pasta to sauce. I dislike when a restaurant drenches the pasta in sauce. Like they have something to hide. My husband’s dish had a wonderful heat to it but not over done. The braised rabbit was a new choice for me but it did not disappoint. We both finished our dishes without that heavy feeling.

We opted not to have dessert or coffee/tea but I imagine that the handmade cannoli would have been special.

Overall we absolutely enjoyed our evening and would highly recommend this restaurant to others. We were in the middle of a heat wave when we went so we ate inside but this restaurant has a couple tables out front and a back door lounge that looks beautiful.

Absolutely amazing. I know it was only my 1st visit but I can't wait to go back. Niagara we finally have another good option for authentic Italian food.
I heard rumors about how food this place was and ia can't believe I waited this long.

Solaia is a hidden gem in the heart of St. Catharines! From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was warm, elegant, and inviting—perfect for a special dinner with friends and family. The food? Incredible. Every dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavour. The house-made pasta was perfectly al dente, and the duck risotto was out of this world. You can tell the ingredients are fresh and thoughtfully sourced. The service was just as impressive—attentive, genuine, and knowledgeable without being overbearing. Solaia isn’t just a meal, it’s an experience. We’ll definitely be back.

Came to solaia for a 13 person dinner. They were very accommodating, with a beautiful interior, and excellent service. The menu has a great selection of high quality food, with lots of homemade options. Will be back for sure!

Solaia was absolutely amazing! The atmosphere is very cozy and beautiful aesthetic inside. Service was outstanding.. chef comes by your table to ask how the food is, opening the doors for guests as they leave the restaurant, the servers are very knowledgeable and attentive. The food was fantastic! All gnocchi is made in house and it was so delicious. Everything arrived hot and they make amazing tomato sauce. I will definitely be coming back!

The other night, I went to dinner with my husband, and as always, the food was amazing. We ordered the braised rabbit gnocci and the trio of duck risotto. Definitely a place we always want to come back to. Highly recommend!

Every time we go there it’s an amazing experience, chef always shows at the table to make sure everything is ok. Service from the servers is great, always making sure everything is good and to fill up your wine and water. Souchef has the best desserts in St.

Wow!! I’m Italian. Best braised rabbit gnocchi ever! In fact, never had it anywhere else before in all my travels. The service was amazing! Great vibe! Desert -oh the cannoli with orange & rum! This place is great and I’m a big foodie. You won’t be disappointed. Amazing huge wine list too! Jarrod the bartender. Great guy very knowledgeable!
