It's criminal what they charge for substandard food. They no longer use sushi rice. And the shrimp is cut so thinly you can barely taste it. Sushi is so simple to make. There's no reason for the poor quality. Go across the street where it's fresh and less expensive.

For starters, before we get into the actual food, the location is very good. It is located inside of Independent, so you can pick up some dinner while your shopping. The design of the sushi bar and the sign are simplistic and satisfying to view. They have all the sushi on display ready for you to grab and purchase, since there is a self checkout right beside it. Now, for the food. They had a lot of different options for types, and quantity of the sushi you want. I was very hungry tonight, so I grabbed the supreme family pack, so it filled me perfectly. As for the sushi it’s self, IT WASN’T dry, hard, and old as another review claimed. It was fresh, moist, and tasted pretty good. It tastes better than you would expect for sushi from a grocery store, and I don’t regret buying it. There was a type of sushi in the pack I’ve never seen before, it must’ve been a special. Needless to say, it tasted very good and I would get it again. The only complaint I have is that the sushi got kind of overwhelming after I was almost done (one cali roll left). Besides that, it was a very pleasant sushi experience and I would definitely but it again.
The difference between this sushi and ANY other sushi is enormous and it easily wins the category of the worst sushi I have ever tried, the oldest, hardest driest rice etc. The number one problem of this sushi is its freshness. Secondly is the amount of Wasabi they put. They don't even let you kill the poor quality with a bunch of strong hot spice as they instructed the personnel to drop the tiniest amount a human being can separate from the dispenser. Americans are laughing about "gas-station sushi". Well I tried that, read my first sentence. Do yourself a favor and buy sushi from anywhere else. The acute lack of competition brought and maintains this horrible player on the market and it's everywhere. Not cheap either just convenient, sitting there for days.
Great stuff
