Lois 'N' Frima's Ice Cream

Their service was a bit low, but only because the line was packed, but we got a two of the chocolate ice creams and a waffle cone delicious great a little bit sweet and watery, but that’s OK and then we got a chocolate milkshake and it was pretty good a little too sweet and we got a strawberry vanilla milkshake. Also pretty good. The service was OK not 100% recommended there I would say it’s OK not that good ice cream OK Service not really

Parking: The thing was fine if you go behind the building, there’s a little parking lot and there’s also like a little mall parking lot that you can go to free parking

Kid-friendliness: It’s an ice cream shop so basically everything is free except I don’t recommend the Walmart ice cream for kids. Last time someone did not like it. It was too chunky and sugary.

I have been a Lois N Frimas fan since moving to Ottawa. The staff are always friendly and helpful, the store front is tidy and there’s a little book outside where you can sit and eat your ice cream. My only concern is the hygiene issue. No one ever wears gloves or washes their hands after touching the cash and then they go and make your ice cream, touching your cone with their bare hands. In a time of colds spreading so easily, it’s disappointing and kinda disgusting that this is not taken more seriously. Last night, the attendant sneezed and coughed twice all while holding my cone in her hand ?. I had to ask if she was sick and she she replied that it was allergies. Now common decency would be to toss that cone, go wash your hands and come back and grab a new cone. But she didn’t. So I took my ice cream anyways and couldn’t stop thinking about it the whole time ?. I hope this can be resolved soon. No one and I mean NO ONE wants your dirty fingers inside of their ice cream cone. Thanks

The service was decent and the staff was friendly, but the inside of the store seemed dirty and rundown, as if they had stopped caring years ago. The ice cream was good, but the neglected environment detracted from the experience. With some attention to cleanliness and maintenance, this place could improve significantly.

We had a chance to drop by on Sunday and it was a nice treat for the kids and us the parents. Plenty of flavours to choose from and come sizes too. Cotton Candy Ice cream kiddie cone was fairly big for our 4 year old so we scooped some into a cup for her little sis too. The apple pie ice cream milkshake was really good, had great apple notes and creamy texture. Worth checking out if you want to cool off on hot days.

I have come here over the years and the ice cream has usually been pretty good this year. They upped the price and lowered the quality. The ice cream taste like flour and is grainy because it melted and they refreezed it. Also, the inside of the ice cream shop is rundown and dirty looking and the staff is doing mediocre, kind of disappointed

Small ice cream shop in a not so busy area of stittsville village. Amazing flavors, lots of options for people with dietary restrictions. Their ice cream tastes so much better than branded names. They need to get better cones though, ones they use currently are not very firm. Lots of parking space, there is a space for about 7-8 individuals inside the shop. Lots of chairs and benches and ample tree shade outside to enjoy the ice cream on a hot day. This is our go to ice cream place in stittsville.
