The food and service here is good and always good quality except when you order tacos to go. I've ordered the fish tacos and the shrimp tacos online for takeout, and they have always been a mess like someone threw them around in the box before giving them out and had to rebuild the tacos. It still tasted good, but a huge lack of care in making them.

Good food. Known for fajitas so I recommend those. Also the Soda tasted weird because they make it from scratch so you will have to ask for a can of it.

Always love Lone Star. Fajitas are so good. This time we went on a double date with our son & girlfriend. This time, we explored the menu, and my son did the traditional beef Fajitas.., which smelled so good. Others did 2/3 rack of porcelain ribs, chicken enchiladas, and chicken quesidilla. Don't forget to ask the tortilla dough.. fun times sculpting. Also the Kanata location expanded too. Twice as big now.

The Stittsville location is very poorly managed. We have visited several times as we love lone star and their kids menu. We called at 2pm to make a reservation for 5:45pm. Our reservation was for two adults and an infant. We explicitly stated we required a high chair because we have previously visited and they didn’t have a one available. Knowing they only have three on hand we wanted to be proactive with our reservation.
Upon arriving at 5:45pm we were greeted by 4 hostesses at the front and of them informed me that there were no high chairs available, even though I reserved one.
Then when I complained she tried to make me feel like I was being unreasonable. She stated that she tried to call me to inform me they could no longer provide us with a high chair… I checked and I had a missed call from them two minutes before I walked in. Not a lot of notice.
After a short discussion with the hostess she asked me if we wanted to speak to the manager. We welcomed this as we didn’t understand how they could take a reservation and then not honour it.
The manager engaged with us at the front of the line in the entryway in front of the 4 hostesses and the other patrons waiting. We stated we made a reservation and we didn’t understand why they couldn’t honour it. He said they just didn’t have enough high chairs and that although we had a reserved one they couldn’t guarantee a high chair. We felt like we were in a Seinfeld episode as we went back and forth. At no point did the manager apologize to us for the inconvenience. We have a 1.5 year old, it’s dinner time, and now we have to figure something out last minute even though we planned ahead and made a reservation.
What I think shocked us most was that the manager was arguing with us in front of everyone and honestly made us feel like we were being unreasonable.
Again we love lone star, but the prices are getting very expensive and the service isn’t on par. This is not the first time we’ve have an issue at this location, but this time we won’t be back. For the same price we can eat across the street at the Keg and get amazing customer service.
If I could give a zero for customer service I would.

Exorbitantly priced for what you get. Lots of servers, but service is not great for some reason.

I don’t even know where to start.
We were a party of two, one ordered a steak. The piece of meat that was served should never have left the kitchen. It was half the size of any other pictured in any other review and was nothing but fat and gristle, too tough and chewy to enjoy.
Our other order was chicken enchiladas; the first inch and a half of each enchilada end had ZERO filling. The filling that was there, was teeny diced processed chicken, not the fajita chicken slices that the enchiladas used to be made with.
Waitress never came back to refill our drinks.
All in all a very disappointing dinner for our first visit to this new location.
We’ll not be back for a second visit.

Got takeout from here for a birthday. Awful food, the queso dip was split, ribs were dry, tortilla family plate was enough for only 2 people, if we could have even choked down the dry, burnt inedible chicken and beef. All the fried foods were steamed. No care was taken. This is not what lone star used to be or should be.

I have ordered takeout from this location 4 times during the past 3 weeks and have always had a blah experience. The salsa is just a box of partially blended tomatoes with no spices. The tacos are a mish mash of whatever they can find on the counter at the time. Enchiladas have a tiny amount of filling for the price. The beans we received yesterday were partially cooked. We ordered the chimichanga and i could only taste salt. It was practically inedible. The churros are okay but they forgot to put the dip for it during my last order.
We have been ordering from here because we were gifted a gift card from a friend.
The prices are pretty expensive for the quantity being served. $22 for a set of 3 small tacos is high. We were in Texas before this and this is just nothing like the Tex-Mex flavour you get there.
Also, a note to the owner - please read the reviews on the Stittsville Facebook page. No one seems to be happy with the food here. What an utter disappointment.

I've eaten at other Lone Stars in Kingston and Ottawa many times and love their chips, salsa and fajitas, but this location was not up to par, by any stretch of the imagination. Tortilla chips did not taste fresh. Salsa had no flavor and tasted like nothing but canned tomatoes (definitely not the same recipe). Steak in the fajitas tasted off and did not have much mesquite flavor (my dining guest confirmed this). Rice was bland. I was thoroughly disappointed and will NOT be going back to this location.

They sure go out of their way to ignore you when you stand in the front lobby. Several staff walked by, without a mention that someone would seat us shortly. Awkward young people avoiding eye contact and social skills. There were 2 staff members, clearly with experience, that were able to make us feel somewhat welcome. You go their for the consistently good fajitas, not to feel welcome. Last 3 times there it felt like we were troubling them to be there. It wasn't that busy. I'll be sure to get the names of the good ones next time.
Never seen dirty restaurants as this.

I love Lonestar so much. Why is this location so consistently bad!? Slow service, confused staff, missing items, hour long waits to put in Wing orders. Given it so many chances… Someone with no food service experience whatsoever could do a better job running the place. It’s a 3 min drive from my house and I can’t do it anymore lol.

Service was decent, and food was tasty, albeit a tad overpriced. Would come back just for the crispy shrimp tacos! The chicken tacos tasted more like a grilled chicken wrap than a taco, but served a bit cold. Also, wish they had a vegetarian/vegan taco option. All-in-all, if you like tex mex, this place will satisfy your craving.
