The entire evening was beautiful. The place was busy but all the staff had smiles on their faces and very polite. The food was fantastic - it was fresh and very tasty. The decorations were very nice, the music was at a pleasant level where you could listen but still converse. The service was fast and efficient. Our server was incredible, and easy to converse with. The washrooms were clean and having mouthwash dispenser is a very thoughtful detail to have. Overall, the service was top notch. Will return soon!

It is a good place iin general, but at times the service may not be that great, especially when they get too busy.
The bathrooms need to be tended to more often. The food in general is not bad, good serving.

I am a regular here! I came here today and had gotten udon noodles with veggies, the veggies were only broccoli no other veggies and after eating half the bowl I found a hair, I went to the manager and they just said sorry. We also ordered a salad and the cucumber was very dry and shrivelled up they took it and made a new one, we also ordered pan friend vegetables and that only came with broccoli but it shows other vegetables! The shrimp tempura was a little warm not hot and so was the edamame. We have been coming here for ever, so I mean for the price we pay here I think the service needs to be a little better and maybe the food needs to be payed attention to! They did not even offer me a little discount or anything for the hair in my food! Very disappointed in this place!

‘Wagyu’ dry af. Salmon super slimy/fatty. Butterfish sashimi was tough. Shrimp dim sum dry. Beef tataki good. Cheese wontons 10/10. Rice was definitely a day old.

Take Out: I ordered Beef Terraki previously and had bite sized generous pieces of beef. They mostly filled the container with way too much rice, and the veggies were soggy upon arriving home. I didn't want to blame them as it was Take Out. I ordered a second time, and the Beef Terriaki was now majorly Beef Terrible! They had sliced the beef pieces down to slivers of rectangle beef slices. It was beyond disappointing. It is too pricey for such a terrible mess of the previous dish. Whomever made that executive call there and reduced the dish, made a terrible error. I will never order from there again. Their dishes aren't predictable, and they left me feeling ripped off. Nobody needs that. The worst is they never respond to their customers bad experiences?

When seated I noticed my glass was dirty, it had gross print marks from someone else. I asked for a new glass, this one had someone else's food stuck on it. The water jug also needed a clean on the outside but I didn't say anything. We first received our calamari, which was cold and chewy. Then steak, which was also cold and chewy. The sushi is cut too think and the food overall was mediocre. I've been here before and have never had this poor of an experience. There are much better all you can eat sushi choices.

Food was decent and the place was clean and well laid out. Service was extremely slow and we waited more than 50 minutes for certain items. Would not recommend.

The best AYCE Sushi restaurant in Hamilton. Surely the best August 8 branch across the GTA. Clean place with good food and friendly staff. I would avoid going after 9pm as their food quality drops significantly as they are slowly closing up.

We had a really great experience at August 8 in Stoney Creek tonight. I feel like they have reduced their menu (removed mushroom beef rolls) but added a few good things. This time we went the food came out very hot, and it come out in waves, vs all at one which was nice. Our server was attentive and provided us with extra napkins for our toddler without us even asking. The server's mini skirt made me a little uncomfortable, but that's on me and not really a big deal.

This place is not honest about serving fake crab and scallops, the menu makes no mention of imitation crab or "fish cakes" as was eventually admitted to by the server, who seemed completely satisfied with the lie. Sushi was decent, half of the desserts are small, old and tasteless.
