I appreciate your commitment to responsible service and understand the importance of adhering to Smart Serve guidelines. That said, I’d like to offer some clarity from our side as your post is very accusatory and I do not appreciate your public post and the way you are portraying myself and those I was with that day. Perhaps asking to speak further over the phone or email would have been a more professional way to handle this. This has been an annual gathering for about 15 years and have never run into any concerns or issues. While it’s true we had visited other wineries earlier in the day, at no point did anyone in our group behave inappropriately or pose a safety concern. We were simply a group of women out enjoying the region, and while we may have been enthusiastic, we were certainly not disrespectful or out of control. If the team felt uncomfortable, it would have been helpful to communicate this directly with us at the time — we would have gladly listened and also had an opportunity to clear up any concerns they had. They also would have known that many of us are not huge wine enthusiasts and take this as a day to get out and have fun. We may have come across the wrong way but we are by nature loud due to our varying ethnic backgrounds. To further inform you some of the wineries we visited we don’t taste at as we are in the area and stop in to pick up some favourites not offered at the LCBO. We were surprised by how we were received, especially because we had hoped to end our day on a high note at your winery. It was disappointing to feel judged and unwelcome, particularly without a proper conversation to address any concerns in the moment. We were surprised as we were immediately shut down by one employee and spoken to very rudely while trying to have your other staff member agree with her. Communication is a key part of great service, and unfortunately, we felt that was lacking. We respect that you’re a small, family-run business and wish you continued success. Our intention is never to harm a business’s reputation, but rather to provide honest feedback based on our experience. We do hope that in future similar situations, there’s a more open and respectful approach to how concerns are handled and your customers are treated
Absolutely the worst customer service and rude employees I have encountered! Not accommodating by any means especially to an empty establishment. Will not be back nor recommend to anyone.

Kelly was a consummate host. We were absolutely impressed with her knowledge and thrilled with her personality which made our experience at Leaning Post wines ever more special. The ambience and charm of this intimate winery made us feel like we were back in Languedoc, France.

A friend was kind enough to gift me a bottle of your 2023 Rose. I always thought that great rose comes from Provence France. This is a world class wine that's better than a wine from Provence that I thought was good until now. This wine is superlative and I will be ordering a case very shortly.

Amazing winery with a focus on terroir based single varietal vintages. The tasting experience was top notch and very knowledgeable. Our server - middle aged man, unfortunately didn't get his name - clearly had passion and knowledge, and created a great experience.
Amazing winery! All the wines we tried were fantastic and the staff was not only very friendly but also so knowledgeable about all the wines and able to really curate the experience for us. We'll be back for sure!

Had a fantastic wine tasting experience at Leaning Post. The Riesling and Cabernet Franc were standouts—elegant, well-balanced, and memorable. The charcuterie board was thoughtfully curated and paired beautifully with the wines. Loved the ambience, customer service, knowledge and care of the staff, tasteful decor, and serene vineyard setting. A must-visit for wine lovers looking for a refined yet welcoming atmosphere close to Toronto, Burlington and, Hamilton.

A pleasant small winery. Residential houses are now butting up against the narrow vineyard, but I still enjoyed watching the workers tending the vines. I like the fresh character of their wines. The server was pleasant and gave up generous samples on our flight.
