Nothing against the food, I love the food and drinks at Roma. I started coming here for a coffee in the mornings and quite enjoyed the routine until my most recent visit. The server threw the receipt at me after I paid for my coffee. I didn’t think much of it despite and still said thank you but she responded with a “whatever” and told me I was being disrespectful for being on my phone. When I ordered the coffee from her I stopped talking on the phone, placed my one order of a coffee with one milk and one cream and that was that. I paid and then she threw the receipt at me. The interaction left me embarrassed and confused. I shared with her how I was enjoying my routine coming here and now I’m unsure how I can come back and she told me who cares, don’t. The treatment I received from this unhinged individual was beyond anything I’ve ever experienced.
Always make a stop when going through Hamilton. Best food ever. They need to expand into Toronto.

Popped buy when we were passing . Nice bread , picked up a box of Fern tarts, made in-house, very hard to find but usually not good. But these were GREAT, what a surprise. So, worth the drive to Hamilton for just these alone and bread of course. Big assortment of ready made pizza as well.
