This past Sunday we had Vince cater a garden party for 50 people and everything tasty, hot and amazing. It was great having lots of leftovers. This is our second year hosting a large event and Vince never disappoints us. On time as well which is very important. Thanks Vince from the Parkinsons

I hired Taste of Vincenzo to cater a work party for about 30 people. They did hamburgers and hot dogs with roasted veggie skewers and caprese Kebabs on the side. The food was great (I would highly recommend the caprese kebabs).

Our experience with Taste of Vincenzo’s catering (also known as Taste of Elio’s) was an unpleasant experience right from the beginning. After noticing on our contract that we were charged for 2 dozen extra plates, 2 dozen extra cutlery sets, 2 extra servers and 2 extra chefs for the day we questioned why and the contract was adjusted. Shortly after putting in a down payment of approximately $1000 we received an email stating that Vincenzo was too busy to give us a tasting that is offered in our contract. He recommend we come to Niagara Falls for the wine and food show, which was not our first choice for a tasting as we live in Hamilton with busy schedules planning a wedding. With much hesitation we travelled to Niagara Falls where we were offered porchetta on a bun. The porchetta itself was closer to the colder side and the bun was not soft, not to mention that nothing being offered was chosen for our own wedding menu. As we returned from our unpleasant tasting we were tricked into we demanded a real tasting with the food we had chose for our wedding day. After approximately 2 months of being told Vincenzo was too busy with clients to give us a tasting we recommend he drop off food to us to our home. The tasting was delivered to our home in a large quantity and it was not bad. Come the day of our wedding Vincenzo had ordered the wrong table cloths twice which stalled our table setup for about 5 hours, this can be quite stressful for a couple attempting a DIY wedding. The food was requested to come out as family style, it did not. Each portion of food came out one by one, with a 10-20 minute delay in between each plate. The food was nothing like we had tasted when it was dropped off to us, the vegetable medley was not fresh and was a frozen medley heated up. The salad came out with approximately 1oz of dressing drizzled over a very large bowl, which was very dry and disappointing. After our very unsatisfying and badly timed meal, Vincenzo had informed us he would be leaving his plates and cutlery over night in the back kitchen area. We were told by the hall manager that everything had to be out by the end of the night. Vincenzo had informed us that he had spoke to the hall owner (as they were friends) and he had said it was alright if he left his items over night. Once 1am hit and our caterer was long gone, we were told that the catering plates, glasses, serving trays and cutlery had to be out of the building or we would be charged our $750 deposit. Vincenzo had flat out lied to us about being allowed to leave his serving dishes over night, and we were put in a difficult situation at the very end of our wedding night to deal with a problem that should never have arose in the first place. We would not recommend Taste of Vincenzo’s (Taste of Ellio’s) to anyone looking for a caterer for their wedding. Vincenzo was impossible to deal with in every aspect of the word. From having to basically beg for our tasting (which was offered in the contract) to being extremely disappointed with our food on the day of our wedding (which came out in a badly timed manner) this was in no way a pleasant experience for us. Every problem that occurred was shrugged off by Vincenzo in a joking manner in which he would chuckle and tell a story completely irrelevant to the frustrating situation we were going through. If you are looking for a caterer you can put your trust in and relax knowing you will be taken care of on your wedding day, then Taste of Vincenzo’s catering is NOT for you. I hope that no individuals celebrating their marriage has to go through what we went through on a day that is supposed to be worry free and joyful. Taste of Vincenzo’s catering made our big day the complete opposite and added more stress and frustration than we ever imagined. Very disappointed in this catering company and can not stress that enough. Steer clear.

We had Vincenzo, who is taking over his father Elio's business, cater for a family religious event on the West Mountain. Food was delicious, specially the pasta, chicken and of course his signature porketta! Service was great, unrushed, friendly. Overall a great experience! Thanks Vince and team!
