My chorus, Classic Blend had a dinner party at the Powerhouse March 25th. We had a fabulous evening in the private room which was set up perfectly by the staff. Staff were amazing. Food delicious and the price fair. We will definitely consider going to the Powerhouse for future events. Well done!!

I'm not one to complain so I didn't mention it at the time but the more I think about my experience at The Powerhouse, the more disappointed I feel.I met a friend for Saturday brunch and while the building and decor were pleasant, I was left unimpressed by the food.I have no complaints with the taste but the chicken and waffles was very anticlimactic. For $21.95, I would have expected more than two, tiny shriveled chicken tenders (photo included)I've worked back-of-house in kitchens for a several of years so I know that this would have passed a number of eyes before being delivered to our table and not one person questioned the quality or quantity.Despite being fairly quiet, service was also a little slow.It's a shame, I've otherwise heard good things.

4 of us had dinner here the other night. A really nice place to sit and eat. the staff were friendly and engaging. Although not overly attentive a few times when we asked for refills or desert menus. The burger, fish and chips and roast beef panini looked good and tasted ok. Some concerns was the breading on the calamari did not stay on, the fish was to battery for my liking and the fries seemed wrong somehow (But this is just our take, other tables seemed to finish their fries). On a positive note the wonton nachos were a great take on nachos, we would have liked to see more chicken in them though.

Just had my 40th (surprise) birthday party here. The staff did an excellent job of accommodating our group's requirements. We enjoyed hors d'oeuvres and platters - the food was delicious and fresh. The staff was prompt and courteous, our glasses were seldom empty. The bill was very reasonable for the use of their facility and services. The live music a little bit later in the evening was very good! I highly reccomend the Powerhouse for your next event.

We like the restaurant. We like the atmosphere & the food.Saying that.We have an issue with the service. I could say understaffed,. Because we didn’t see a bartender & saw an only a staff of 3.All walking very fast. I guess that means something.I’m never one to single out a worker. But. The last couple times we’ve been there. It hasn’t been a great dining experience.Due to the staff. Same staff member.Our waitress whose name starts with a N .. was very unassertive (lacked drinks almost the whole time, we were never asked if we wanted another… she only grabbed dishes & left).She also seemed very unpleasant. Not friendly at all. … We’ve had her the last 2 times and both times it’s been the same.All the happy smiling friendly faces are gone from this place.We remember many.Now … unfortunately. We have no desire to return anytime soon.Which is sad.As it’s our local and we’ve been many many times in the past.We really can’t remember the last time we’ve been served like this.It was likely her on Yuk Yuks night.My smaller tip was very intentional.Going forward.We’ll travel further where they have friendly smiling assertive staff...
