I had always thought there weren’t any good restaurants in Stratford, and then I ate at The Bluebird. The food was so good and the service was perfect. The oysters from P.E.I. (Pink Moon) were sublime. I only ordered three but wished I had ordered 6. The Argentinian shrimp tacos (a small plate) were different than any other tacos I’ve had … very small, more like the size of an amuse bouche but so tasty. One in our group had Pickerel and pronounced it the best fish dish he’d ever had. One had a cold asparagus soup and said it was fantastic. And the chocolate mousse was out of this world, with a deep velvety chocolate texture, and accented with sea salt, a drizzle of olive oil and some crushed nuts.
Writing this review today before leaving this relatively new restaurant in downtown Stratford, within walking distance to 2 theatres. Innovative menu, cozy atmosphere, attentive service, need to write more? We miss Rundles restaurant in Stratford but this is a good replacement, better value too.
The food was excellent and the staff was very friendly. The food was on the pricey side but very worth it.
This was our first visit but will not be the last. This is a lively environment which added to our enjoyment. The new menu has many great selections. Our server, Jordan was able to help us make decisions. We enjoyed the food and service. Like many lively restaurants you have to expect an elevated noise level. I did find the lighting to be an issue later in the evening but this did not detract from the overall experience. Go see for yourself.
Great menu, very broad, some Asian fusion stuff that is really tasty and unique. Heather was an excellent server. We’ll be back!
Great spot in the town! The starter cheese and ham croquette was delicious. The server strongly recommended the taco, and it was good but not impressive. Probably should have ordered the curry fires instead. The bluebird burger was good too but not the best burger ever had still. The atmosphere was lovely. Won’t have a spot without reservation if you come after 12:30 on weekend. Love the whole idea of fusion so will probably come back for more
Had a reservation at a different restaurant where we were completely ignored. Ended up leaving there and coming accross the Bluebird. We did not have a reservation and they were quite busy but they managed to find us a table and we were extremely thankful as we were now VERY hungry. We ordered the spring rolls and we each got a burger and fries and I kid you not, one of the best burgers we have EVER eaten. Our server was incredibly bubbly and kind and super attentive and made drink suggestions. We told her about our experience at the previous restaurant and I feel like she really made it a point to turn our evening around and she did it with so much grace and empathy. We will tell anyone and everyone about our experience here. The food was on point, our server was wonderful and the ambience was perfect. If you are reading this review, PLEASE do yourself a favour and come here. We were blown away.
Enjoyed every thing in this pub. Great live band
We visited Bluebird Easter Sunday for late lunch and music. What a lovely surprise for us to enjoy such a lively atmosphere at the restaurant!
The food was fantastic! We were a group of 4 and everyone enjoyed shared appetizers and lunch that followed. We left the restaurant in a happy mood with full tummies!
Food was pretty great! Appetizers we got were nothing to write home about but totally enjoyable. The lamb was reallllllly good and my boyfriend reallllly loved the sea food dish he ordered. Service people were really nice! Unfortunately, the atmosphere ruined it for me a little since I found it hard to feel comfy in a crowded and loud spot, but it was Friday night, so fair enough. It is pretty in there though!

Full Valentine’s Day dinner at the bluebird. Rated 10 out of 10 food and service and ambiance. Great hosts Aaron and Bronwyn🍷🍷 John and Susan
I have no words to describe how good my family and I felt, really satisfied in all aspects (very good waiter, spectacular chef, and a meal with an excellent mix of flavours and good texture.
What a cute and tasty spot in downtown Stratford! Love the decor and friendly service, and everything we ate was really yummy. Was here for lunch; I got the Croque Monsieur (so good!) and others raved about the pickerel tacos and crispy French fries. For dessert, I HIGHLY recommend the sticky toffee pudding - the warm caramel sauce + sour cream ice cream combo was to die for! Already trying to plan a time to come back for dinner.
Get whatever you want; it will be good. Take your servers recommendation; they are lovely, knowledgeable and funny. Plan to share a few dishes. Then get the beef To Go and enjoy it at home, alone, because it isnt appropriate to behave that way in public... so gooood🤤👀
The food was absolutely amazing and surprisingly inexpensive for the quality. Absolutely beatiful interior, and the service was the best I've ever seen.
